Fall Rally South is118
days away (November 9,
2013) and Division 16 is here
to TEAR IT UUUUUP!
I hope you are all
enjoying your summer thus
far and taking the
opportunity of time not
spent at school to serve
others.
The Region 7 Beach
Clean Up is coming up on
July 20th at Dockweiler
Beach and I sincerely hope
many White Tigers attend!
No ride? No problem!! The
Region will be providing
transportation for a
minimum donation of $15
that will pick up at Burbank
HS at 9 am and drop off at
7 pm. Region 7 members
will be driving from Canoga
Parks, Northridge, La
Cresenta and more to
Burbank, to OUR TERRITORY
so Division 16 SHOULD have
the most members there…
but will we? Let’s make it
happen!! The goal is to
have at least five
school attend; officers
should already be in
attendance. The more
people, the more voices
and the more spirit. We will
be having a spirit session so
let’s show the region how
FIERCE us White Tigers really
are. It will be a day full of
fun, service, cheering, and
bonding. I guarantee that
you will have a blast!
However if you don’t have
fun, you can message me
on Facebook, call me, or
message me on my
personal email
([email protected]) with
an APPROPRIATE question
or dare that I must answer
or do at the August DCM.
Do you accept the
challenge? I know Paolo
Esguerra does! So are you
ready to show your stripes
and show your Division 16
White Tigers PRIDE!? PUMP
PUMP PUMP IT UP! PUMP
THAT 16 SPIRIT UP!!
D16. We will be having our
July DCM from 3:00 pm –
4:45 pm. We will be having
a spirit session right after the
DCM where your area can
have the opportunity to win
a spirit stick created by Fall
Rally Task Coordinators
(Jeannica Tan, David Salas,
and Tyler Szeto) to prepare
for Fall Rally.
Look forward to many
Division 16 events such as a
division wide clothes and
shoe drive as well as D16
Olympic Games, D16
Winter Chill, D16 Movie
Night, and D16 fundraisers.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard
lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In
2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand
to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex
held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a
national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters
across the country carrying on her legacy of hope.

event will forever be cherished and
remembered. And the friendships formed and bonds made will
most definitely be remembered as well. Thank you to all that
attended and contributed to this wonderful experience, and
thank you to all the kids that attended as well who gave us the
opportunity to spend three amazing days with you all.
North Hollywood Key Clubbers attended Burbank Key Club’s event,
Project Green Light, from June 24th to June 26th.
Project Green Light is about spending times with children who has
Down syndrome in order to improve their concentration. The volunteers
are paired up with them and they participate in many different activities
on the tennis court.
Not every member was able to attend for all three days but many
Clubbers said that they were able to form a special bond within just one
day.

There was DCON…then there was ICON. The Key Club International
Convention is currently in session and Key Clubbers around the
world, (yes the world!) have gathered in the beautiful capital of the
U.S., Washington D.C. to share their love and passion for service with
each other. Members are there for a full week, attending workshops,
social activities, and exploring the beautiful city of D.C. Our
president, Briana Hillo is currently there representing the CNH District,
R7, D16, and Bell-Jeff’s
Key Club! This is a once in
a lifetime opportunity and
we wish the best of luck
and safety for everyone
there.-Romulo Dinsay

International
Convention (ICON) is
the most important
event on the Key
Club International
calendar. Key Club
members from
around the globe will
gather at this year’s
ICON Providence
High School Key
Club President,
Jeannica Tan
packed up and
headed to
Washington D.C. to
discuss everything Key Club, elect a new Key Club International Board,
and educate themselves on how best to improve themselves and their
homes, schools, and communities. During ICON Key Clubbers spent 4
hours packing 81 boxes for Kids Against Hunger; meals which will feed
about 2,916 hungry children. Also Key Clubbers visited the Whitehouse,
Capitol, and other monuments. – Regina Benedicto (Providence Bulletin
Editor)
