businesses are one of the fastest growingtypes of small businesses.“This is a rare bright spot in today’s slug-
gish economy.Women inbusiness create jobsand values for their communities and thanksshould be given for the great fortune of livingin a country that cherishes freedom and cele-brates progress.”Many women may never have been afford-
ed the opportunity to learn how to make in-formed career choices, manage their financ-es and be inspired by successful women.

Koreaanse tien-ers luister slegs Koreaanse pop, bekend as K-Pop, dus was Brandwagters se wêreldwyemusieksmaak vir hulle vreemd. Nog ’n Skype-sessie word vir Oktober be-
plan voor Brandwagmatrieks se finale eksa-men begin.

Springbok Danie Gerber verlede week by dieHoërskool Brandwag gesê.

After an impressive 19 years as PremierSoccer League referee, Volkswagen GroupSouth Africa’s (VWSA), Buyile Gqubule hascalled it a day.
Gqubule, who manages the VWSAPeoplePavilion - the world class sports andrecreational facility for its employees - willnow concentrate on developing up and com-ing referees in Nelson Mandela Bay.
“Taking into account age and recurring in-juries, I feel now is the right time to call itquits. I have no regrets; I have enjoyed 19fruitful years on thepitch. Iwouldmostly liketo thank SAFA and my refereeing colleaguesfor the support in making my refereeing jour-ney a success,” said Gqubule.
“The greatest highlights of my career in-cluded being awarded the 2010 Referee of the
Year, officiating in Africa’s biggest derby, theSoweto Derby involving Kaizer Chiefs andOrlando Pirates. I also did duty in some worldclass international friendly matches and Iwould say my best game was the MTN 8 semi-final between Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town.”
Gqubule will now dedicate his time to thedevelopment of referees at the lower leagues. He said there were numerous referees whohad the potential to “make it big in the profes-sional ranks”.
“I am involved in a referee developmentprogramme in the Local Football Association(LFA) and through the support of Sedgars weare able to provide these upcoming refereeswith training equipment. I will always re-main a referee at heart and will officiate inthe LFA games from time to time.
“Wehaveover 50Level 4 referees at theLFAlevel who with support and proper guidance
have the potential to be amongst the best refe-rees in South Africa. We hope to see themmove on in their careers to become FIFA andCAF accredited referees,” said the EasternCape-based official.
Acting head of SAFA Referees Department,Lindile ‘Ace’ Kika said it was a big loss to thenational panel to lose a referee of Buyile’s cal-ibre.
Qgubule states that running VWSA’s Peo-plePavilion will also keep him close to thebeautiful game. The PeoplePavilion featuressports as diverse as taebo, netball, indoorcricket and klawerjas. And Qgubule’s passionfor soccer remains well represented in bothindoor and outdoor soccer as well as Soccercoaching for VWSA employees’ kids. In loving memory of mydearest and wonderful
husband and our father. On19 September 2007, ourHeavenly Father called youHome for a Higher callingand purpose and now, 6
years since your passing, westill find ourselves thinking ofyou every day. You were anexceptional, wonderful,
caring husband and father. You were a people`s personand you touched so manypeople`s lives. You were ourlight in the darkness, our
sunshine in the rain. Never adull moment was spent withyou. You taught us so much. You taught is that no matterwhat the circumstances, wewill find that life is still
worthwhile if we just smile. You taught and showed ushow to live life to the fullest. If we could have one wish, itwould be just to see your
face once more, to hear yourvoice once more, to see yourbroad, radiant smile and holdyour hand and as we knowand remember you, you
would add and share a jokeor two. Although unseen, wecan still feel your bright, radiant light and love shineupon us and that is what iscarrying us through, and it iscomforting to know that youare our guardian angel,
looking and guarding over usand through the hardships, pain, sorrow and trials, westill have to endure here onearth. We know that whereyou are, you are ferventlyand earnestly praying for usand we thank you from thebottom of our hearts. We
love you unconditionally andmiss you more than wordscan say. For now we canonly imagine what it will belike when we will be reunitedforever never to part again what a reunion that will be.After living your life to thefullest, you deserve a welldeserved rest. We can`t waitfor the morn to break whenwe shall meet you face toface again, be reunited withyou and behold your warm, loving smile when we shallmeet at our Jesus` feet. Withlots of love and earnest
longing from your wife Olivia, your children Evolia and
Ettiénne.
