• Flexibility easy to use
• Easy to use and maintain with 0.5 time educators
• Able to present information uploading PPTs, documents and video
• Need to track and evaluate learners
• Must be cost effective

The Blackboard Experiment
• Working with a Blackboard course site since 2003
• Primarily used by AMC, some Aviation use
• Provided effective platform for posting monthly articles & presentations
• Initially run by only one staff member
• No specific content designed for on-line use
• Did serve the initial needs
• One course site
• Limited support
• Unresponsive to calls

• Formalized Moodle training has been available
• Participating in conferences
• Staying on top of upgrades - factored in the workload for IT

The FutureMoodle has joined the STARS family.
We are, in fact, a fully operational education department providing a variety of blended and online learning programs.
More Community Learning - internally & externally
Moodle will be given more attention for support and utilization.
