EHLI Dear Parishioners, Over the last few months, the number of cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota have increased, affecting many of our family members, friends, and neighbors. This increase has prompted civic leaders and health authorities to seek further protections to slow the spread of the virus as we head into the winter months. To keep our parishioners and clergy safe, we must continue to be vigilant in our efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our parish community. With that in mind, I ask you to seriously consider wearing a mask at public Masses. According to health officials, wearing a mask drastically reduces the chance of spreading COVID-19 to those around you, thus helping keep others safe. It's important to wear a mask even if you don't feel sick because you may be an asymptomatic carrier (someone who has COVID-19 but is not showing symptoms). It is a small act of charity that promotes the health and well-being of others and can alleviate the current strain on our healthcare facilities and workers, to whom we are truly grateful for their dedicated and selfless service. Our hope is that they can find some relief and much-deserved rest during this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. We will continue to monitor the health crisis and make adjustments accordingly. Please note that the precautions we have been following since the resumption of public Mass in June remain in place, as does the general dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. Those precautions include staying at home if you are sick, maintaining physical distance in the church, and using hand sanitizer provided at each entrance. As a reminder, the side chapel and cafeteria are designated as mask-required areas during the Saturday 5:00 PM and Sunday 8:00 AM Masses. If you are not comfortable attending Mass in person, I encourage you to watch the Mass via livestream or television. Jesus is with you! Thank you for your cooperation and patience with these precautions as we do our part to assist in reducing the spread of the virus. By following these guidelines carefully, we will be able to continue to celebrate public Masses and receive the nourishment we need through Holy Communion. Please know you are always in my prayers. FROM FR. EHLIDear Parishioners,

Over the last few months, the number of cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota have increased, affecting many of our family members, friends, and neighbors. This increase has prompted civic leaders and health authorities to seek further protections to slow the spread of the virus as we head into the winter months.

CATHEDRAL ANNOUNCEMENTSKickoff for Consecration to St. Joseph: Those who signed up for the 33-day Consecration to St. Joseph are invited to a kick-off event on Monday, November 23 at 7:00 PM in the main body of the Cathedral. We will begin with the rosary followed by some words from Fr. Ehli. The consecration begins Wednesday, November 25.

Attention Adorers: Eucharistic Adoration will take place from noon to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, November 25 due to a funeral that will take place in the side chapel that morning. There will be no Eucharistic Adoration on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 26).

The collection on Thanksgiving Day at the 8:00 AM Mass will go to the poor in our local community. Checks may be made out to the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit.

The Encounter, a special time of Eucharistic Adoration, music, prayer, and confessions will take place at the Cathedral on Saturday, November 28 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

Reminder: During the regular 9:00 AM School Mass, the main body of the church is reserved for Cathedral students, teachers, and staff members. Parents, siblings, grandparents, and community members are invited to sit in the gathering space, where Communion will also be distributed. We are also livestreaming the school Mass on the Cathedral website each week so that people can participate in the Mass from home. Blankets for Veterans - Our Knights of Columbus Council is participating in a statewide project called the Veteran’s Blanket Project. Today as we celebrate Christ the King, we hear Jesus say: “…whatever you did for one of the least brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Knowing that we find the face of Christ in the poor, through your financial gifts the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is able to serve the poor in our community.
