SuperstarsRising

They’re 2012’s biggest success story; with America at their feet. The voice, the passion and the making of ‘Remedy’:Inside the biggest pop-

music story of our time.

Hey girls! It’s been sooooo long since we last spoke. Thank you for squeezing in the time to see us today, you must be very busy with touring America. So how have you both been, how’s life been treating you? Louise: Yeah yeah! It’s been so busy but I’m loving every bit of it, we’re promoting our new album ‘Remedy’ in America Emily: It’s been crazy, it’s so amazing meeting our fans, and they’re so supportive. At the end of the day we wouldn’t be where we are without them!

Your single ‘Underground Par-ty’ has gone to number 1, your tour has been sold out and your album has gone platinum, how does that feel? Emily: Oh my god! It’s amazing, when we found out that our album went platinum we couldn’t believe it, we can only just thank our fans.

Louise you wrote the lyrics to most of the songs on the album, Tell me... Where did you

get your inspiration from? Are any of your songs based on something that has happened to you? Louise: There’s nothing better than locking myself in the studio for hours and letting my mind wonder. ‘Forgetting you’ is a song really close to my heart. I wrote this song when going through a rough patch with my ex boyfriend. When we sing this song at concerts the fans seem to love it, so yeah it’s great!

Talking about your fans, we have been flooded with thou-sands of questions that they have been dying to ask you both. We have picked a few of the best ones to ask you. Louise: Uh oh! This is going to be good.

Here goes, Louise you’re up first, what are the top 3 things you can’t live without? Louise: My phone! Definitely my phone, my life is on there. If I was to lose it, my life wouldn’t func-

tion!

Really?! I mean I have a secret code on everything so no one would be able to get on to things... When I say no one I mean no one,

not even Em knows the code. I also can’t live with-out my mini. I’m so lazy and Pippa’s my baby *laughs*

Emily: That’s the car by the way!

Louise: She’s just so beautiful! Ohh eye liner, my Chanel eye liner is amazing!

Your eyes look amazing! Louise: *laughs* Thanks!

Next question, if you could be a man for the day, what would you do? Emily: Hahaha, that’s a good one! Ummmm I would spend my whole day in front of the TV playing on

SECRET CODE”“I HAVE A

the PS3 just to see what all the hype is all about.

Louise: I honestly don’t under-stand how boys can do this; surely they must get tired and have a numb bum!

I couldn’t agree with you more! It’s so annoying! Emily: My younger brother is always sitting on the sofa play-ing on the X-Box; I never get the chance to watch telly! Well when I’m not working.

This question is for you Emily, what is your most embarrass-ing moment? Louise: Haha! She’s had so many!

Emily: Oh God! Remember when we were perform-ing live on stage at Wembley Arena for the Summer Time Ball and I com-

pletely buckled face first on to the floor! It was so embarrassing; the look of horror on the fans faces was priceless!

Louise: *laughing* Remember the time when we had to try on some outfits backstage for a concert and the zip just flew off!

Emily: Oh my God! And then the stylist thought it would be funny to call everyone over and then they took pictures of me and put it all over Twitter.

Louise: And remember the time when...

Emily: OK OK... I think we have all established the fact that I am always embar-rassing myself!

Thinking back to early childhood, what was your

first experience with music for the first time like? Louise: I remember getting a microphone set for Christmas and I began singing Christmas carols and the Spice Girls... Yes I was a big fan of them! Every now and then I still listen to their music, even when we’re backstage get-ting ready for a concert I have their albums playing in the back-ground.

Emily: My first experience was the complete opposite, at my primary school, I was probably in year 3 and there are some steps in the playground and me and my friends started singing and performing and we were being proper serious about it, we made sure we had the look, the micro-phone haha we used those thick pencils as the microphone and at the end we would have an audi-ence!

with a lad who’s been chasing after you for ages. But on the night of the date, you arrive at the restaurant and 30 minutes after he still hasn’t arrived. Do you stick around? Emily: It’s never happened to me, I’m always the late one! I left a boy standing around for a couple of hours once! It would depend on what mood I was in, if I was feel-ing chilled, I’d be OK and just wait a little longer, but if I was tired and not impressed, I’d call him and tell him I was leaving and that this will never happen again.

What about you Louise? What would you do? I’m always on time and I’m really impatient, so I can’t stand waiting around for people. You’re either on time or you can just forget about it!

I’m the same! Now for the most important question girls... Have you got a celebrity crush?! Emily: Oh yes! But I’m not one to like the pretty boys like Harry Styles!

Louise: Oi! Emily: If you haven’t already guessed, that’s her celeb-rity crush! Anyway mine is Tom Parker *laughs*, he has a nice six pack! Louise: We were at the One Direction concert the other day and we got to go backstage and chill with the boys. They’re so down to earth and they really appreciate their fans. That’s why I really like Harry, he’s been my favourite since X-Factor!

Finally what is the worst lie you have ever told? Emily: Oh gosh, I’m an awful liar. I used to work in a supermarket and really didn’t fancy going to work one day. So I decided to phone up and tell them that I had lost my handbag with my purse and mobile so I was at the police stations. Unfortunately they didn’t believe me as I had phoned WITH

my mobile!!

Louise: I was once in a club and started talking to a gorgeous guy. I decided to impress him

by saying I could speak Japanese. He was im-pressed, and asked me to say something. I guess I should have thought that through, I can only speak English and a little bit of

French!

Thank you so much for pop-ping in; it’s been so much fun. You must pop in again soon. Good luck with your tour and album. Louise: Thank you for having us. Don’t forget our album is out now and is available on iTunes to download

Emily: Oh god yeah and we are doing an autograph signing next week at Westfield’s, Stratford. So come along and get your album signed and take some photos.

Great! I’ll definitely be there!
