Appointed Positions

Stumbling into that first key club meeting as a confused sophomore

was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I've ever made - one

that has led to a myriad of amazing encounters, countless hours of

devoted service, and an innumerable amount of life-shaping

experiences. I'm so excited to be able to give back to this club

which has provided me with so much! On the off chance that I'm

not busy pouring my heart into Key Club, I'm probably enjoying

science, friends, or cookie crisp. I truly can't wait for what will surely

be the best year ever! –Communications Director

How's it going, Key Clubbers? My name is Athena Sok (but you may also call me Tina) and I have

been blessed with the opportunity to be appointed as your K-Family Relations and International

Projects Director! I reside in the city of Tacoma and I am a shark of Division 34. I bleed black and

gold because I am an incoming senior at Lincoln High School. But enough about me, I am

extremely excited to work with the district board this year AND to meet all of you! As your K-

Fam/Int. Projects Director, I plan to significantly improve the relationships and communication

between Key Club members and the K-Family branches. In this upcoming year, my plans include

district wide events that allow Circle K, Kiwanis, and many more K-Family members to join together

and share our love for service. These events will be put on in support of our preferred charities

which will allow more K-Family members to join our cause! I am looking forward to a fun-filled and

fantastic year with you all. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Hey Key Clubbers, we have a single year left. In 2015 The Kiwanis family will turn 100 and

The Eliminate Project will come to a close. Maternal /Neonatal tetanus is not waiting for us

to act. We must fight quickly and together. Now that I sound like a dictator, I want to

make sure you know me! I am Ben Scranage, your 2014-2015 District Projects Director. I

want to work with each and every one of your clubs to make sure that the Pacific

Northwest reaches their goal of fifty thousand dollars this Key Club Year! I promise you that

even though I live in the small town of Harrisburg, Oregon, just outside of Eugene, I will be

there for any of your questions at any time of the day. My phone number is (541) 220-0066,

and my email is [email protected]. Reach out and don't feel like a stranger.

I'm really interested in programming and making

things/engineering which I'd like to use to make a positive

impact in the world and on the lives of others. I really love

being part of an organization that is making such a huge

difference in the world with the help of so many other

people. –Membership and Growth Director

Convention Team!

Hey PNW! My name is Cleo Tsang and I'm currently a junior at Kentridge High School

from D32 and throughout my high school career I have served as a class rep, historian

(it's a position ok), vice-president, Convention Aide, and now Convention Chair! This

year, I will be in charge of planning the 66th Annual District Convention and honestly, I

am so excited! I hope that this will be the best convention ever! My Key Club journey so

far has been nothing short of amazing, and I owe so much to this district. But aside from

Key Club, I like tennis, bread, potatoes, coffee ice cream and hippos. I am also a part

of DECA, NHS, Robotics, ASB, and my local youth group. I am so honored and grateful

to be serving as the Convention Chair and I hope to make you guys proud!

Hey! I'm Jag and I'm your Convention Aide! I'm really ecstatic to be on the

board and ready to put on the best DCON ever! I'm a runner and I love

listening to music! Most of my free time is spent on going to all of my home key

club's service projects… because, well...Key Club is life! My favorite color is

aquamarine and I'm super random and charismatic with most anything! I look

forward to becoming best friends with all of you Key Clubbers! Agapé!

Hello PNW! I’m Ryan Miura and I’m one of your Convention Aides this year

who will help plan the 66th annual District Convention. Key Club has had a

huge impact on who I am, and I hope I can continue to grow and learn from

my experiences as a part of the K-Family. I love trees, cats, and meeting my

fellow PNW Key Clubbers so holla at me if you happen to see me and want to

talk! I’m pumped to represent the most loving and spirited division around,

Division 66, so let’s work together to have a great year of service!

Hey Key Clubbers! Come take part in the Pacific

Northwest District’s 2nd Annual Tacoma Rally, this year’s

the importance of continually serving your community

during the summer. Join us at Mt. Tahoma High School on

Maternal Neonatal

Tetanus (MNT)

$1.80 can save a mother and

its future babies!

Kills one baby every nine

minutes.

Newborns suffer convulsions,

and they’re extremely

sensitivity to light. Their mothers

cannot comfort them

because the babies are

sensitive to touch.

“Hello Division 9! So I am your 2014-

15 District Projects Director. If I was an up

and coming Key Clubber I would look at

those words and say “this guy must think

he is such a cool kat, I bet he even

made his own address label (I have).”

But honestly, no. I want my job to simply

be a stepping stone for you to achieve

greater heights in The Eliminate Project

and any school project you attend this

year. The greatest thing about this

organization is that it really doesn’t

matter if you are a Freshman,

Sophomore, Junior, Senior, dweeb, nerd,

hick, or jock, because if you have taken

the initiative to come this far in the Key

Club, you are on an equal level with

everyone else in it! This of course means

that we as one body have the power to

raise 50,000 dollars in the PNW for The

Eliminate Project this year. By the end of

2015, I can assure you that

Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus will be

eliminated from the face of this earth. Be

on the lookout for this year’s

merchandise, it is going to be sold at

International convention, along with

your local rallies and club meetings

during the school year! Add me on the

internets and make yourself an ex

stranger to me. I can’t wait to work with

you this upcoming Key Club year!”-

Key Club Jag Bains

Received a $500

grant from Kinross for

their outstanding

efforts in helping the

community. They

had the most Key

Clubbers show up to

my DCM. Also, they

have done five

service projects this

past month, with a

service hour count of

38 hours.

As a dedicated Vice-

President, he shined

bright, attending all of

the Key Club meetings,

and all of the service

projects. The time and

effort that he has put

into Key Club has paid

off because he is now

one of two Convention

Aides. He now works

alongside me on the

PNW District Board. Our

very first appointed

position from Division 9!

You so fine!
