Rally was a total success and it seems everyone enjoyed it! It was very hard putting this rally
together but thanks to Gautier High Key Club, advisors, Mr. West, Pascagoula Kiwanis, and all
the participants and special guests, this rally turned out great! We raised over $700 for United Way and they were very thankful towards us Key
Clubbers, so thank you to all who donated! The money will go towards families in need including
medical, educational, physical, and more. I hope this rally experience will encourage all Key Clubbers in our division to sign up for District
Convention because Division 14 needs all of you to come!
We definitely had some amazing guests at rally including District Governor
MaryFrances Johnson, District Secretary Treasurer Breana
Olivier, District Webmaster Stephen Benn, Division 7B LTG Philip Roth, Division 4B
Kelly Serrano, Dr.Janey Mattina, Ms.Carolyn Moore,
past Kiwanis District Governor Greg Stevens, Mr.Woody and Mrs.Woody from
Pascagoula Kiwanis, Mr.Moore from Gulfport
Kiwanis, Cindi Fox from Biloxi Kiwanis, Mrs.Davis, and Mr. and Mrs.Le (my parents)

Here are some service projects your Key Club can do. Gobble up some service!
Thanksgiving is near and you can show
your service by giving thanks to others
and do a service project like providing a
Thanksgiving dinner to a family, or do a
turkey cook out and provide food for
those in need. You can a host a can
food drive and maybe even do a
competition amongst classes who raises
the most cans. Do something with your Key Club and make a difference this
Thanksgiving. Who knows, you might
change a family’s life.
With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF
have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.
This deadly disease steals the lives of 60,000 innocent babies
and 30,000 mothers each year. The effects of the disease are
excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful
convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.
To eliminate MNT from the Earth by 2015, 129 million mothers
and their future babies must be immunized. This requires
vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands of
skilled staff and more. It will take $110 million — and the
dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the Kiwanis
family.
Kiwanis and UNICEF joined forces to tackle iodine deficiency
disorders, achieving one of the most significant public health
successes of the 20th century. Now, they are eliminating MNT
from the face of the Earth. And in doing so, the project will
reach the poorest, most neglected mothers and babies with
additional lifesaving health care. The end of this one disease
means the beginning of better health for so many families.
November is Prematurity
Awareness Month
As you know, March a Dimes is a service
organization dedicated in helping premature
babies. In order to help out, we must raise
awareness in our homes, communities, and
schools this month. Our mission is to improve
the health of babies by preventing birth defects,
premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry
out this mission through research, community
services, education and advocacy to save babies'
lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers,
educators, outreach workers and advocates
work together to give all babies a fighting
chance against the threats to their health:
prematurity, birth defects, low birth weight.
Your Key Club can help out by raising money for
March of Dimes and spread the word out.

PPCCMMss At our last PCM we discussed about our next Interclub
and voted, but I’ve decided it would be fair for
everyone to vote on and it seems that our next Interclub
will be a Christmas bash. We also talked about rally
results and what was good and what could be
improved. DCON was also mention and everyone who
attended knew this year’s DCON theme. Other topics
we talked about were Key Club Week, service projects
and the division itself. Thank you again Pascagoula for
providing food for everyone and thank you Gautier,
Moss Point, and Pascagoula for attending the PCM. We
definitely need more participation at our PCMs and I
hope we have more Key Clubs attend this upcoming
PCM.
Next PCM is on December 4, 2010 4:00 PM @ Tom’s Pizzeria in
Gautier, MS and we are having a poster contest!

Interclub! If you missed rally, no worries! We will
have an Interclub coming up which is a
Key Club get-together and Key Clubs
from our division come together to have
fun and do some service! Key Clubbers
voted for our next Interclub which would
be either a Beach Bonfire or a Christmas
Bash and it has been decided that we
will have a Christmas Bash! We will
incorporate a service project which will
be Toys 4 Tots and Salvation Army. We
will like for all participants to bring at
least one good toy or a clothing item to
donate. Not only are we doing service,
we will have a talent showcase and I
hope all of you talented Key Clubbers
participate! There will be food, games,
dance, and much much more! Start
inviting your Key Clubbers now!

On October 28, 2010, my family and I
attended the Kiwanis dinner and
welcoming of Kiwanis District Governor
Mrs. Linda Ramsey. It was a joy to see
her and she is doing a great job in
helping our K-families. I love seeing
Kiwanians and am so happy to be able to
