Principal’s Report
This term is already flying and has been a busy time
for both students and teachers.
It was great to attend the Young Writer Awards at
the Swan Hill Library on Wednesday night. It was
wonderful to have seven of our students short-listed
as finalists. We are extremely proud to have such a
large representation on the night, as the writing
curriculum has been an emphasis for the last couple
of years. Well done to all involved.
Tonight I am attending the Victorian Excellence in
Education Awards in Melbourne, as we are finalists
in the Outstanding School Advancement Team
award for work in the Swan Hill PLC program. I
would like to congratulate Mrs Sydes for all her work
as an Instructional Leader in the PLC and all the
exciting work that is coming out of our local
schools. It is exciting that five local schools can be
recognised for leading the way at a state level. We
will keep you updated on Facebook tonight.
Grandparents Day
As part of our Funky Feet Celebrations we will be
having our Grandparents / Special people morning
on Friday 2nd of November. Please keep this
morning free and let Grandparents / Special Friends.
know.
Year Six
Reminder that transition forms not already handed

Grandparents/ Special Friends, Walk to School & Funky Feet We are holding our Grandparents/ Special Friends morning tea on Friday 2nd November
starting at 9am. This will enable grandparents/ special friends to watch our Funky Feet
Parade. Could families please supply a plate of morning tea to share? This will be at 10am. We
are also holding our Funky Feet Day and the end of Walk to School Month on this day.
Last year many of our students came with some very wacky and funky feet and we cannot
wait to see what they come up with this year.
As our last walk for Walk to School Month all students will be doing a lap of the oval and
visitors are more than welcome to join in.
Hope to see you next Friday.
Scholastic Book Fair
Our next Book Fair will be held at school from Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd November. The

buy books for school. Our previous Book Fair earlier this year was amazing and we got some new
