During night time
With DC inverter power control the air conditioner can operate at low capacity most of the time. This is especially important at night in a residential situation when the whole family is at home. DC inverter power control is able to achieve a high COP even when multiple indoor units operate simultaneously for long periods of time.
Quiet operation features that achieve total comfort
Quietness is yet another important feature of Daikin’s Super Multi PLUS E series. To reduce sound and realise comfortable operation, latest technologies and features are applied to the outdoor units, achieving the quiet operating sound level of 43 dB (A) in night quiet mode.
Night quiet mode
Set on the outdoor PCB. Time of maximum temperature is memorised. The low operating mode will become active 8 hours*1 after the peak temperature in the daytime, and operation will return to normal 10 hours*2 after that. The operation sound level for the night mode can be selected from 49 dB (A) (Step 1), 46 dB (A) (Step 2) and 43 dB (A) (Step 3).

A BP unit is an innovative development which allows Super Multi Plus outdoor units to be connected to a wide range of different indoor unit types. A BP unit has the ability to precisely vary refrigerant volume to meet the cooling requirements of individual room spaces.

The outdoor unit and the BP units operate from separate single-phase power supplies, so no power supply wiring is needed between them. The size of the wiring pipe from the outdoor unit to the BP units can be reduced, making installation easier.
Simplified electrical wiring connection
The outdoor unit’s heat exchanger fins are processed using a special anticorrosion treatment. The surface is covered with a thin acrylic resin layer to enhance the fins’ resistance to acid rain and salt corrosion. A hydrophilic film layer also prevents rust caused by the run off of water droplets. Additional durability is provided by a rustproof steel sheet on the bottom of the unit.
Durable outdoor unitA single high-capacity outdoor unit can drive up to 9 indoor units, making it powerful enough to air-condition a whole residence. This powerful unit can be easily installed on a balcony with its slimline design, which measures (H) 1,345 x (W) 900 x (D) 320 mm.
Space saving
The Super Multi PLUS has the wide operation range required for commercial-use air-conditioning systems. So even when the outdoor temperature drops to –5 C, cooling operation is still available if the temperature rises rapidly in a crowded room.
