“PRAYER IN TIME OF PANDEMIC” O God, whose Only Begotten Son bore the weight of human suffering for our salvation, hear the prayers of your Church for our sick brothers and sisters and deliver us from this time of trial. Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son: Be not afraid, for I am with you always. Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants; give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour, that we might gather once again to praise your name in the heart of your Church, delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen From the office of our Most Rev. Robert J. McManus Bishop of Worcester

AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
MY JESUS, I BELIEVE THAT YOU
ARE PRESENT IN THE MOST HOLY SACRAMENT.
I LOVE YOU ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND I DESIRE TO RECEIVE YOU INTO
MY SOUL.
SINCE I CANNOT AT THIS MOMENT RECEIVE YOU SACRAMENTALLY,
COME AT LEAST SPIRITUALLY INTO MY HEART.
I EMBRACE YOU AS IF YOU WERE ALREADY THERE AND
UNITE MYSELF WHOLELY TO YOU.
NEVER PERMIT ME TO BE SEPARATED FROM YOU.
AMEN
MASS INTENTION:
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:
In striking words, the pope said: “The Mass is not paid for, redemption is free. If you want to make an offering okay, but the Mass cannot be paid for.”
In following this wise statement from our Pope, I would like to encourage you to approach us and see if there are any open intentions for a particular Mass.
Mass intentions are not only for the memory of a deceased person; rather, you can offer a Mass of thanksgiving for a birthday, the birth of a baby, for the health of someone… and other different intentions that we may want to present to Jesus.
As the Pope said, do not worry if you do not have any contribution… that is not what matters. For me, as pastor, what matters is that you have access to these, and that we can unite as com-munity to the celebration of these intentions.
If you want to check the availability of an open Mass, call us to the office and we will work with you. May God bless you and keep you. Fr. Daniel
DO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW NEED HELP DUE TO THE COVID-19? St. Vincent de Paul Society can help! If you or someone you know in Web-ster-Dudley has be adversely im-pacted by Covid-19...St. Vincent de Paul Society may be able to assist you. Please call 1 (508) 943-3140 ext. 3 and leave a message. Someone will get back to you to discuss how we can help. God Bless you all.
“So the last will be first and the first last.” (Matthew 20:16) You’ve heard the saying “It’s not where you start, but how you finish.” This certainly applies to this Bible passage. We have a responsibility not only for our own lives, but for the lives of others as well. We are called to generously share our gifts with others, not hoard them for our own use. Our sincere grati-tude and cheerful generosity will help us live “God-centered” lives and not “self-centered” lives.
VIRTUAL CELEBRATE PRIESTHOOD EVENT
On October 26 at 6 pm Bishop McManus will host a Virtual Celebrate Priesthood gala to continue to raise needed financial support for Retired Priests' Care. Please see the attached letter for more details and share with parish-ioners in your bulletins at Mass, on your web-site and in your emails/Flocknotes to parish-ioners. Thank you
Daily Mass, Sunday Mass, Family Rosary all continue to stream on worcesterdiocese.org, can be uploaded for automatic updating on eCatholic websites, and are available for view-ing on Spectrum/Charter Ch 193
Conversation with Bishop McManus is playing next week.
In solidarity with our brothers in sisters who are struggling to recover from natural disasters in Louisiana and California, Bishop McManus along with his brother Bishops are asking Catholics around the country to donate to the Bishops’ Emergency Disaster Fund which funds relief ef-forts led by Catholic Charities USA and Catholic Relief Services.
If you would like to make a donation to help those impacted by re-cent disasters including Hurricane Laura and the California wildfires, please visit worcesterdiocese.org for more information on where to send a check or to make an online contribution.
Please keep all the families who have lost everything as a result of these disasters in your prayers.

CATECHETICAL SUNDAY
Sunday, September 20, 2020
This year’s theme is I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you. Those who the Community has des-ignated to serve as catechists will be called forth to be commissioned for their ministry. Catechetical Sunday is a won-derful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Bap-tism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Catechetical Sun-day is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a communi-ty of faith.
