and no loss. This is the point where we have AR = AC.

I send goods of Rs. 1 lakh to Mohit. He sells 3/5th of the goods by adding a margin of Rs. 10000. Commission is 2% on sales plus 20% of gross sales less all commission exceeds cost. What is commission? 3/5th of the goods are of Rs. 60000. if

margin of 10000 is added, we have 70000. commission on this is 1400. let us now calculate 20% of gross sales less all cost. Thus is 20 / 120 of 10000 -1400. which is 20/120 of 8600 = 1433. thus total commission amount is 2833. ans.


I send 2000 boxes to Rohit at Goa for 120 Rs. Each (invoice price) . Transport expenses are Rs. 5000. 1/5th of the goods are lost in transit and 1/5th (Of remaining) are stolen (normal losses). 1200 boxes have been sold. What is my consignment stock at the end of year? (I send at 20% plus cost) 2000 – (400+320+1200) = 80 80 * 102.5 = 8200 Ans (it has to be taken

at cost only, 100 + (5000/2000)).


I sent 300 bales to Ram on consignment. Invoice price 200 (it includes 33% margin). Transport & insruance expenses are 10000. Consignee has spent Rs. 12000 (selling expenses are Rs. 6000). 100 Bales are left out. What is the value of my consignment stock at the end of the year? 200 *100/133 = 150 (cost price) Cost = 150 + (10000/300)+(6000/300) =150+33+20 = 203 per bale. Value =203*100 = 20300 answer. Selling expenses are not taken into cost.


I sell goods to Ram at 125% of cost. Commission 10% on Sales and 25% on surplus over IP. 10% goods (IP 12500) were lost. 75% were sold at Rs. 100000, what will be commission payable?

IP = Invoice price Total goods = 125000 (12500*100/10) IP Thus cost of these goods 125000*100/125 =

100000. Sales = 93750 IP. commission = 10000 (10% of sales), plus 25% of (1lakh – 93750) = 25% of 6250= 1562.5

Thus commission =11,562.5


We send goods to Ram costing 2 lakh at cost plus 25%. Ram has to sell these at cost + 50%. 4/5th of the goods are sold at prescribed price. Commission = 2%. What is profit in our account?

Cost of 4/5th goods = 160000 Marging 50% = 80000. (sale price = 240000) commission 2% of 240000 = 4800. Profit 80000-4800

=75200 ( here we assume that other goods are still in stock).

If we assume that other goods are sold at cost, then profit = 75200-800= 74,400 .
