What is the probability that the ball has a number in multiple of either 3

or 4 or 5? • Multiples of 3 are : 30, • Multiples of 4 are : 90/4 = 22, however, it contains

those numbers, which are multiples of 3 also. Remove them: 90/12 = 7 so 22-7 = 15. Now 90/5 = 18. However, it contains multiple of 3& 4 also. 90/15 =6 and 90/20 = 4 so 18 – 10 = 8,

Solution . . .

• As we can see we have :• 30 + 15 + 8• However, 3*4*5 = 60, which has been

deducted twice from multiples of 5, so add this again.

• 30+15+8+1 = 54 • Thus 54/90 is the answer.
