I just want you to know that I am as angry as you arethat your road is still in such a state.
Many of you were present at the meeting on 2ndFebruary where I got the repair to the junction agreedas a matter of urgency and a consultation into parkingrestrictions agreed as an urgent matter for the newcouncil year, now three weeks old.
Following that meeting, on 7th February 2011, I also metthe responsible officer and had a detailed meetingabout both these issues. I was promised the repairs were likely to be done withina couple of weeks and the consultation would be with me for comment shortly.Neither of these things have happened.
I have followed up regularly on the repairs and have now raised the issue with themanaging director of Brentwood Council as I am so dissatisfied with the servicereceived. I feel that these delays are mostly to do with the Tory administration’sdecision to move our Highways department to Harlow, meaning that we no longerhave a local service that knows Brentwood as well as our own officers did.
I am up for re-election in two weeks and I want to ensure thatthis project is completed for you - both the restrictions and therepairs but I can only continue with this work if I am re-electedas your councillor on Thursday 5th May so I hope I can count onyour vote!
