WEALD CLOSE/ HONEYPOT LANE JUNCTION UPDATE Printed, published + promoted by L D Price, 67 Junction Road, Brentwood, CM14 5JH on behalf of Brentwood West Liberal Democrats & k l Chilvers Dear Resident(s) I just want you to know that I am as angry as you are that your road is still in such a state. Many of you were present at the meeting on 2nd February where I got the repair to the junction agreed as a matter of urgency and a consultation into parking restrictions agreed as an urgent matter for the new council year, now three weeks old. Following that meeting, on 7th February 2011, I also met the responsible officer and had a detailed meeting about both these issues. I was promised the repairs were likely to be done within a couple of weeks and the consultation would be with me for comment shortly. Neither of these things have happened. I have followed up regularly on the repairs and have now raised the issue with the managing director of Brentwood Council as I am so dissatisfied with the service received. I feel that these delays are mostly to do with the Tory administration’s decision to move our Highways department to Harlow, meaning that we no longer have a local service that knows Brentwood as well as our own officers did. I am up for re-election in two weeks and I want to ensure that this project is completed for you - both the restrictions and the repairs but I can only continue with this work if I am re-elected as your councillor on Thursday 5th May so I hope I can count on your vote!
