– With Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems, their formerly independent web sites (covering hundreds of thousands of pages) needed to be merged into a single site.
Project Details
– Vamosa Consultants performed a thorough analysis of the relevant Oracle and Sun web properties and lead workshops with all of the relevant stakeholders to understand the concerns and goals of each group
– This comprehensive approach, allowed Vamosa to build a highly efficient solution; developing a process to iteratively transform the distinct sites in parallel streams, ultimately interlacing them into a common structure

– Vamosa analyzed and consolidated hundreds of thousands of content items, in just over three months, allowing Oracle to achieve more effective web operations, while maximizing its ROI on the Sun acquisition

Business Need
– To improve performance of the worldwide corporate Intranet by migrating 3000-plus sites from Plumtree to a hosted version of Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS) 2007
Project Details
– Using Vamosa Content Analyzer GSK were able to identify redundant and obsolete content prior to migration.
– Vamosa Expert Services managed the migration using Vamosa Content Migrator to automate classification and tagging and remove duplicates.
Results
– Vamosa’s solutions allowed GSK to eliminate content that was no longer required before migrating to the target CMS, significantly lowering the cost of migration.

Business Need
– Having had two failed migration attempts, AstraZeneca sought Vamosa’s expertise to migrate their enterprise-wide intranet from Documentum flat HTML to Vignette as a result of rising license costs
Project Details
– Using Vamosa Content Analyzer AstraZeneca discovered up to 400,000 content items across 1000 intranet sites and 35 countries worldwide
– Vamosa worked with the customer, proposing and implementing the most suitable migration strategy using Vamosa Content Migratorfollowing a 4-week pilot

– Deloitte needed to migrate its worldwide Intranet content, spread across 140 countries, to Vignette 7 from Vignette 6 which was no longer supported

– Vamosa Content Analyzer discovered over 320K multi-lingual content items that were not centrally owned or controlled and contained a number of geographical and industry-specific taxonomy inconsistencies

– To migrate and re-engineer content from Interwoven TeamSite
into IBM Lotus WCM
Project Details
– IBM was able to identify 200,000 content items during the
discovery phase using Vamosa Content Analyzer
– Vamosa Content Migrator then enhanced and standardized the
content, reducing the pages by over 70% before migration.
Results
– IBM achieved a fast ROI by decommissioning the TeamSite
system and saving on maintenance costs as well as reducing
server costs from migrating and supporting a much-reduced
volume of content

– BAe Systems needed to migrate both its corporate and divisional Intranet content out of its legacy CMS to Microsoft SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) to reduce support and maintenance costs
