Sewing InstructionsNote: This quilt uses foundation piecing, which involves sewing fabric pieces to the wrong side of a paper founda-tion. Blocks will be the mirror image of the paper pattern. To be sure you print the patterns at full size, set your printer options to Actual Size or set Scaling to None. After printing, measure the test square; it should be 1” x 1” (2.54cm x 2.54cm). If not, adjust your settings as necessary for accuracy.
1. Foundation patterns for Blocks A and B are each in two parts. Print 21 of each part onto lightweight printer paper or foundation material of your choice. Tape together, matching dashed lines, to make 21 of Block A foundation and 21 of Block B foundation.
2. Gather (1) fabric piece for each of the 15 block positions from Fabrics B – N.
3. Place a Fabric E position 1 triangle wrong side up on your work surface. With a Block A foundation right side up, center its position 1 area on top of the position 1 fabric; pin in place (Fig. 1).
