The idea to resurrect Vietnam’s lost craft of Imperial & Pagoda wood art was inspired by the fading number of hands that carve the spiritual soul of Vietnam.
The art of ancient pagoda woodcraft once sustained livelihoods and defined cultural identities. After enduring centuries of transformation, the craft is quickly and quietly becoming extinct; as are the villages and artisans that rely on its economy.
Fashion4Freedom pays homage to the heritage that built these traditions. With great respect, we pay tribute to the process that connects design with form and function to create beautiful products with solutions for social and economic change.
We delicately revitalize cottage industries of artisan craft by instilling modern ingenuity within ancient art to createobjects of desire.
Our novel design touch preserves cultural identity, sustains communities and reinvigorates the modern day supply chain.
Fashion4Freedom takes liberty in translating the timeless beauty of ancient Vietnamese wood art through the lens of modern luxury. After 18 days incubated in the hands of artisans, our reincarnated soles are born.
Under the brand, Saigon Socialite, FASHION4FREEDOM’S 1st collection of reincarnated soles imbue a sense of regality. It is a fusion of ancient symbols found in traditional art with a modern sensibility for comfort. The overall aesthetics achieve a style that percolates wit, joy, and desire of an owner with uncompromising function and unparalleled style

The Saigon Socialite collection of reincarnated soles represents a change within the fashion industry.
Our soles provide a mobilization of emotions throughout the entire value chain.
For the consumers, every step is a movement forward, transitioning from extraneous to conscientiousness of consumption.
For the producer, Saigon Socialite signifies a reincarnation of an artisan craft long forgotten and a re-building of a future. A traditional artisan village can no longer sustain itself without redefining their craft to include the modern marketplace. We incubate our artisans with investments in capital, tools, and product development. Profit from continued sales is shared among all and contribute to help our villages rebuild their heritage, culture, and dignity.
The globalized economy has propelled theproduction of fashion goods to the southern hemisphere. As the world of ‘Cheap & Chic’ fashion continues to demand cheaper products, the effects can be the degradation of wages, labor standards and higher pollution in the environment.
An industry built on designs and creative functionality has become one of questionable ethics.
In response to a need, Fashion4Freedom was created to redefine design in a way that not only account for the purity of products, but also the purity of process.
Our designs economically rejuvenate the invisible and voiceless artisans too often exploited due to economic circumstance. We provide a voice while delicately resurrecting dying crafts and villages.
Our artisans imbue ancestral heritage into each hand-carved miniature
representation of pagoda art.
