Navidad. Regístrese antes del 27 de noviembre.

This weekend, we celebrate Christ the King of the Universe. As we celebrate
this feast, please consider who is your king? We all have kings that we serve
in this life. Some are regal, resplendent, powerful, and they even promise us
the world. However, there is only one king that calls us his sons and daugh-
ters in an eternal lasting kingdom. Let’s consider what it means to be sons
and daughters of the king.
Thank you to all parishioners who have completed and submitted their Com-
mitment Card to the Church. For those who parishioners who have not yet
had the opportunity to submit their card, a letter will be mailed to you with a
personalized Commitment Card. It is important that all parishioners com-
plete a Commitment Card as we will be mailing out a summary report of the
program and need all commitments accounted for in this report. If you have
any questions, please contact the parish office.
This week we do not have confirmation or religious ed classes at the parish
because of Thanksgiving. Enjoy your Thanksgiving celebrations!
While Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, is not a holy day of obligation,
all are invited to come for 9:00 am Mass with a blessing of bread and wine
for the Thanksgiving meal. If you want your bread and wine blessed for your
family celebrations to be blessed, please bring them to the Mass. There will
be no 6:00 pm Mass in the evening so that I may be with my family.
Also, as a reminder, the Novena for the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe be-
gins on Wednesday December 4. We will begin each time of prayer with the
rosary followed by the novena prayers. Mañanitas for the Virgin will be cel-
ebrated Thursday, December 12 at 6:00 am in the Church and the Mass for
the feast will be at 6:00 pm in the Church followed by a reception and party
in the gymnasium.
One last reminder, the Sunday Evening Mass at 6:00 pm will be contin-
ued for one more week Sunday November 24th. We will discontinue the
Mass during December to evaluate with the finance and pastor councils how
the Masses should be restructured. Thank you for your participation and pa-
tience with this new experiment.
