•Children will take home 1 appropriate leveled reading book daily. •Each day children will be expected to independently exchange their books and record the title in their reading records. We will check these regularly.
•Magic words are coming home as assessed. We are reassessing to ensure they have consolidated previous words sets and will send home appropriate words in the back of their reading records.
•Words need to be at best practiced daily. When your child knows these really well they will need to let their teacher know as per last year and we will assess them.
LT

Enjoying HomeworkWe will be emailing each fortnight to let you know what we will be covering
in class the following week.
This will include suggested ideas for activities that you can do at home.
Tips:•Relaxed, fun and something your child looks forward to
•Simple books offer success, confidence and sheer enjoyment•Better to do one book properly, developing vocabulary and comprehension
than rush through all books- it is not a race•Children need to be able to read and spell high frequency words
