ID NYC in Pope Francis Center The "ID NYC" municipal identification program has

opened a new "Enrollment Center" at our parish in

the Pope Francis Center (345 43rd Street). ALL New

York City Residents 10 years and older who reside in

NYC's 5 Boroughs are eligible for the ID, regardless of

immigration status. Flyers are available in Church with

information about the application process, benefits, and/

or to make an appointment. Appointments are

encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

SECOND COLLECTION Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair

and Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R"

Collections will be helping us to pay for the Renovation

of the Pope Francis Center. We ask all parishioners to

be as generous as possible and thank everyone for their

sacrifices and generous support!

NO COST BREAST CANCER SCREENING The American-Italian Cancer Foundation will have a

“Mobile Unit” here at St. Michael’s to provide No-Cost

Breast Cancer Screenings for women, age 40 and over,

who have not had a Mammogram in the last 12 months

on Sunday, February 23rd from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Anyone interested can contact the Rectory 718-768-

2019 TAXES Parishioners of St. Michael's Church who utilize the

weekly contribution envelopes may request an Annual

Contribution Letter (Tax Letter) by completing a

request form available on our website. Please visit

www.stmichaelssunsetpark.com and click on "Annual

Contribution Letter Request Form" found under the

"News & Events" tab. Letters will be made available on

a weekly basis. Please request your letter as soon as

possible (Before April 1, 2020) as it may take 1-3

business days to provide you with the documentation

you request. If you have any questions, please contact

Windys at the Rectory Office (718) 768-6065 between

9am & 4pm Monday through Friday.

The United States CENSUS 2020 Is Hiring!

The US Census is now hiring. Thousands of jobs are

avaliable nationwide, as well as in Sunset Park. The US

Census is hiring people in Sunset park to work in Sunset

park! Anybody who is interest it can apply

at 2020census.gov/jobs or call 1-855-JOB-2020 for more

information or help applying.

ADULT SACRAMENTS Any adult who has received Baptism and Holy

Communion but has not received Confirmation or

Communion may register at the Rectory for preparation

classes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this

Spring. You will need to bring your Birth and Baptism

Certificates. Classes will begin in February.

PARISH COUNCIL Our next Parish Council meeting will be held in the

Chapel at 1:30 PM TODAY (Sunday). All are invited

to attend, and each parish group should have a

representative present!

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY On Monday, January 20, 2020 the Rectory Office will

be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

There will be two Masses, at 9 AM (English) & 6:30

PM (Spanish).

Are you a registered parishioner?

All practicing Catholics should be registered, as individuals, or as a family as a member of a parish. Being a registered and active member of the parish is a benefit not only for the parish, but for the Registered parishioners, as well. If you need a letter to be a God-parent for Baptism or Confirmation, you should be registered parishioner. If you need an Letter of Rec-ommendation for a job or for the government or immi-gration purposes, you need to be registered as an ac-tive member of the parish. When you register, you (or your family) will receive pre-printed offertory enve-lopes and, by using those envelopes for your dona-tion each week, then the parish will have a record and be able to write a letter on your behalf. Using the envelopes also means that you can receive a letter at the end of the year, so that your Charitable donations can be deducted from your taxes. To Register as a Parishioner, you can fill out the Form below and give it to Brenda in the back of Church or drop it in the Collection Basket or bring it to the Rectory Office. You can also speak with Brenda in the back of Church on Sunday mornings or you can call (718-768-6065) or come by the Rectory during Office Hours.

If you are ALREADY a Registered parishioner, we are in the process of updating the mailing list and database for the 2020 parishioner envelopes and we need your HELP Please provide us with any CHANGES in your CONTACT Information (especially phone # and/or address).
