Lanes and (illegal) lanes into the sunset

The government’s sanitationprogramme in villages isprogressing well and everywherein villages, new toilets, such asthese can be seen. Thisparticular toilet, was posted bywell known local marathonrunner, Daniel Makua, on hisFacebook page (three times),saying that he is thankful for thenew facility at his house in Ga-Mampuru, except that it is aboutto fall in on him and his family. While travelling in the areaPlatinum Gazette has seenothers that do not look verystable. Maybe extra care shouldbe taken when ensuring thesturdiness during construction?

Like a rock or not?

Three lanes where only two are supposed tobe. Burgersfort’s traffic remains a problem, but also give time to appreciate a nicesunset. When the Platinum Gazette’s editorexclaimed to a number of traffic cops grid-locked like everybody else (but in theopposite direction) “You should start

working!” they hit back with “what are yousaying?” to great entertainment of a taxi withabout 50 passengers inside, who burst outlaughing in unison. (In their defence, theydid work, quickly sorting out a problem ofspilt paint in the middle of the road, gettingthe mass moving again).
