performance

• In a performance music video, they mostly consist of the band or artist preforming there song. Sometimes its just the artist lip-singing the words as there walking down a road, or a whole performance with all the band playing on stage, in the street, in a garage, in a forest etc.

narrative

• A narrative music video is a music video that explains a story throughout. Sometimes the story is about the song, or it can be a story completely different. Quite often in narrative videos, there are elements of performance put into the video/story as well.• My example of a narrative is Tenacious D -

concept

• Concept videos are mostly unusual ,obscure or even surreal to the audience. They normally have no relation to the music. The unusual content is very attracting to many people which draws them in to the video. A successful concept video will keep the audience entertained and constantly looking at what is in front of them.
