at the Episcopal churchrdquo She discussed this idea with Angela Falgoust who had introduced The Catholicrsquos Divorce Survival Guide at St Aloysius and is active in ministry for the divorced and divorcing
ldquoWersquore excited about the partnershiprdquo said Melissa who added that the experience of pain in divorce and the healing that should occur following it crosses all denominational lines She said the ecumenical effort is a movement of the Holy Spirit Angela Falgoust agreed ldquo[The] collaboration on this six-part Lenten series is truly a gift of the Holy Spirit hellip at the end of the hour meeting we were partners in this endeavor We all felt when we left the meeting that God was driving this train and we would just have to do the leg workrdquo
According to Marianne Skrobiak who will facilitate the Day of Healing she developed Return to Life after her own long-term marriage in the Catholic faith ended in divorce She said the series helps participants as they grieve over the loss of their marriage relationship and their dreams associated with it
Angela Falgoust said ldquoIt does not matter how long you were married or how long you have been divorced We have had participants in past workshops who were divorced 20 years and had never experienced healing That is even more painful than going through the time and effort it takes to get beyond the hurt of a divorcerdquo She added ldquoPain held inside can manifest itself in other ways such as bitterness and unforgiveness If we
donrsquot address the mistakes we made in our marriages often times we repeat them in new re1ationships creating more need for more healingrdquo
The weekly sessions include a video presentation and small group discussion Return to Life provides attendees a safe environment in which to discuss their experiences
For the Day of Healing participants are asked to bring something from their former marriage to the altar to signify to God they are ready to let go of that marriage ldquoItrsquos an extremely powerful cathartic moment for them when they let gordquo Skrobiak said
The cost of the sessions is $50 and is limited to 50 people registered by application For information on the series please contact Kelly Williams at 225-387-5141 ext 229 or kwilliamsstjamesbrorg A downloadable flyer about the series to share with family or friends who may benefit from the series and application are available here (wwwstjamesbrorgreturn-to-lifehtml) or through our online registration portal here
ldquoDivorce is not a chapter that anyone wants in
their book of life but the Return to Life series gave
me hope that there was light at the end of the
tunnel Come experience the healing process that
this program deliversrdquo
mdash a recent attendee
experience for each type and how the types ldquowearrdquo their virtue What circumstances facilitate this sacred shift from compulsion to compassion for you Discussion will revolve around not only the ldquoideasrdquo of the vice and virtue but the felt sense of each
What allows you to expand your perspective when narrowing your view is the familiar pattern
The second day of this workshop builds on the first and is shaped to expand our understanding of our type by exploring our typersquos resource points (wings and connecting lines) Understanding these resource points allows us to more fully grasp the complexity and dynamics of the Enneagram as we place ourselves in a larger context not only within this system but within our own perspective of self
What does it mean for a type Nine to work with the gifts of type Six a connecting point Perhaps the Nine engages the imagination more and asks hard questions A type One accessing the gifts of type Four can take more time for reflection and self care allowing for creative options to emerge Sevens glean the gifts of focus and detail-orientation from their connecting points of Five and One Each typersquos four resource points can bring balance to our lives Our work is to acknowledge our inner resources and mine them
This material requires a working knowledge of the Enneagram Stretching beyond who wersquove identified ourselves to be enriches
the journey to living more fully who we are Those with serious commitment to their spiritual lives will find this workshop of particular interest as we move toward our ldquoyesrdquo in our journey to the Divine Heart that awaits us and seeks us always
Sandra Smith MDiv has been teaching the Enneagram throughout the southeast since 2002 Sandra creates and leads workshops and staff trainings using the Enneagram as a map for deepening self understanding Additionally she facilitates type and study groups and works one-on-one with individuals as an Enneagram workplace consultant and also offers spiritual companioning She brings a practical approach in presenting the material and offers it with a compassionate sensitivity
Sandra use the Enneagram map as a tool for deepening self-awareness as well as creating supportive workplace cultures Sandra received her MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory University where she graduated with honors She has a BS in Business from Wake Forest University and completed the nonprofit management program through Duke University

at the Episcopal churchrdquo She discussed this idea with Angela Falgoust who had introduced The Catholicrsquos Divorce Survival Guide at St Aloysius and is active in ministry for the divorced and divorcing
ldquoWersquore excited about the partnershiprdquo said Melissa who added that the experience of pain in divorce and the healing that should occur following it crosses all denominational lines She said the ecumenical effort is a movement of the Holy Spirit Angela Falgoust agreed ldquo[The] collaboration on this six-part Lenten series is truly a gift of the Holy Spirit hellip at the end of the hour meeting we were partners in this endeavor We all felt when we left the meeting that God was driving this train and we would just have to do the leg workrdquo
For the Day of Healing participants are asked to bring something from their former marriage to the altar to signify to God they are ready to let go of that marriage ldquoItrsquos an extremely powerful cathartic moment for them when they let gordquo Skrobiak said
The cost of the sessions is $50 and is limited to 50 people registered by application For information on the series please contact Kelly Williams at 225-387-5141 ext 229 or kwilliamsstjamesbrorg A downloadable flyer about the series to share with family or friends who may benefit from the series and application are available here (wwwstjamesbrorgreturn-to-lifehtml) or through our online registration portal here
ldquoDivorce is not a chapter that anyone wants in

me hope that there was light at the end of the

experience for each type and how the types ldquowearrdquo their virtue What circumstances facilitate this sacred shift from compulsion to compassion for you Discussion will revolve around not only the ldquoideasrdquo of the vice and virtue but the felt sense of each
What allows you to expand your perspective when narrowing your view is the familiar pattern
Registration for the two-day workshop is $150 Early registration (before March 14) is $135 Additionally individual one-hour sessions with Sandra will be available for workshop participants by appointment on Thursday March 27 at $70 Registration is available online here or by registration form available here or from the church office

Return to Life continued from page one
at the Episcopal churchrdquo She discussed this idea with Angela Falgoust who had introduced The Catholicrsquos Divorce Survival Guide at St Aloysius and is active in ministry for the divorced and divorcing
ldquoWersquore excited about the partnershiprdquo said Melissa who added that the experience of pain in divorce and the healing that should occur following it crosses all denominational lines She said the ecumenical effort is a movement of the Holy Spirit Angela Falgoust agreed ldquo[The] collaboration on this six-part Lenten series is truly a gift of the Holy Spirit hellip at the end of the hour meeting we were partners in this endeavor We all felt when we left the meeting that God was driving this train and we would just have to do the leg workrdquo
For the Day of Healing participants are asked to bring something from their former marriage to the altar to signify to God they are ready to let go of that marriage ldquoItrsquos an extremely powerful cathartic moment for them when they let gordquo Skrobiak said
The cost of the sessions is $50 and is limited to 50 people registered by application For information on the series please contact Kelly Williams at 225-387-5141 ext 229 or kwilliamsstjamesbrorg A downloadable flyer about the series to share with family or friends who may benefit from the series and application are available here (wwwstjamesbrorgreturn-to-lifehtml) or through our online registration portal here
ldquoDivorce is not a chapter that anyone wants in
their book of life but the Return to Life series gave
me hope that there was light at the end of the
tunnel Come experience the healing process that
this program deliversrdquo

experience for each type and how the types ldquowearrdquo their virtue What circumstances facilitate this sacred shift from compulsion to compassion for you Discussion will revolve around not only the ldquoideasrdquo of the vice and virtue but the felt sense of each
What allows you to expand your perspective when narrowing your view is the familiar pattern
Registration for the two-day workshop is $150 Early registration (before March 14) is $135 Additionally individual one-hour sessions with Sandra will be available for workshop participants by appointment on Thursday March 27 at $70 Registration is available online here or by registration form available here or from the church office
