My magazine will be published monthly due to the nature that the music genre’s dub-step, electro house, trance and other similar genre’s don’t come out with frequent material such as other genres of music. Because of this publishing it monthly will mean readers will receive a magazine that contains plenty of content from that month and it will be thoroughly designed and have fresh music from the running month giving all the inside news about it and what’s currently hot and what to look forward to and be on the lookout for.

Publishing frequency

Due to the frequency of publication and looking at my audience research I have come to the conclusion that I will charge £2.99 as it is being issued once a month the paper and quality of the magazine will be a lot better than once that is published every week it will also contain more information and in more detail and depth.

Cover Price

The Genre of music in my magazine will consist of a few genre’s that link with each other or can be seen as similar (arguably). E.g Dub-step, Electrohouse, trance.

My readers from my research are going to be around the age of 16-21 mainly and they will be of working class. They enjoy expressing themselves and are not too shy and like to party and club and listen to music whenever they can. They consist of a 50/50 split between male and female. They like going to raves, taking a lot of pictures, dancing and shopping.

Reader Profile

An article that would go in my magazine would be of events, new releases, and anything big that is to do with the genres of music I am focusing on.

An example would be an article on the Massive event known as “Tomorrow Land” which is based in Belgium once a year. It is a huge event that invites people from all around the globe as long as your 18 or older. It gives the audience some of the best atmosphere and electro house music from around the globe.

The article will have quotes from people that have attended, images of the insane scale of the event. And also information on the line up.

In the magazine there will be monthly competitions, this could be anything from making your own tunes and sending them in, to just simply answering a question to test your knowledge on the music that is currently happening around the globe.

Prizes of the competition could include tickets to festivals and events, or merchandise from DJ’s or music related.

There will also be monthly giveaways of 5x t-shirt’s that have the magazines logo printed on it.
