• Complete combustion by using sand as fluidized medium
• Temperature range 850-950 °C• Energy recovery• No/ minimal bottom ash• No dioxin• Lowest emission• Medium size/ scale possible• Pre-treatment is required
• Fluidized bed is formed by blowing air underneath sand material through air nozzles.
• Shredded waste floats on and in between the hot fluidized sand bed and burns away to gas and ash.
• Ash which is light is blown along with the combustion gas stream into dust collecting facilities.

• Fluidized bed creates mixed material turbulence and collision of sand and waste materials to ensure complete combustion of waste particles.
• Large freeboard zone help complete combustion of gas.
• Operating temperature at 950 C which is not high enough to produce thermal NOx, however, high enough to destroy virtually all hazardous materials.
