WHEN: NOTE: If you r high school is not on the “Upcoming

Events” calendar, please contact me to reschedule my

visit.

WHY: Lieutenant Governor visits are actually one of my fa-

vorite parts of being an LTG! I will be evaluating all of your

board members and meeting structures to see that every-

thing is going smoothly and to help you in any way I can!

I’d like to give a brief speech and/or presentation so

please notify me a week prior to my visit which your club

would prefer! I am visiting your clubs to share more about

Key Club on the District level and get everyone motivated

to serve the community.

PRESENTING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST OF KEY CLUB INTERNATIONAL

2012– 2013 DISTRICT PROJECT!

NAME OF PROJECT: “Project Educate”

MONETARY GOAL: USD $30,000.00 (JMD 2,659,500.05)

OBJECTIVE: Helping to support the development of

early-childhood & primary education in the developing

country of Jamaica.

HOW WILL THE MONEY BE ALLOCATED TOWARDS EACH CONTRIBUTION?

GOAL #5 30,000 High school scholarships for 10 students across Jamaica

GOAL #4 27,050 St. Mary School (yet to be confirmed) school supplies

GOAL #3 23,050 Online classroom assistance to 150 students across Jam.

GOAL #2 20,050 Wakefield Primary School assistance for a new Library

GOAL #1 12,050 Mona Heights Primary School supplies & library equipment

You are all strongly encouraged to support this project by selling t-

shirts and/or wristbands at your high schools! If you would like to or-

der some to sell at your high school, please contact me as soon as

possible!

Another good idea is to come up with fundraisers on your own!

together to Educate Jamaica!

These t-shirts were sold at Seattle Rally but LTG Rachel still has leftovers! If you are interested

in purchasing one, please let me know and I will bring you one home after the Tri-K District

Board Meeting in October.

Each t-shirt is $15 and will go to the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program (KCCP).

OCTOBER DCM MEETING MINUTES

I, Lieutenant Governor of Division 65, officially call this DCM to order on October 28, 2012

DIVISION 65 GEAR: CREWNECKS “WE SO FLY. SIXTY FIVE!

$20 a crewneck. Crewnecks from the #2 order will be available to pick up on the November DCM. We are

going to put a little stall on the ordering for a while so the next collection of orders will probably be around

January or February.

MIRACLE DOLLAR

We will be pulling together the efforts of 10 high schools in our division to collect $1 from every single Key Club-

ber! Our divisional goal is $800 and the money will be due on the November DCM.

KEY MOTHA’ BANQUET

Mother’s Day Themed event. Silent Auction. Talent Show (Presentation). Relatively Semi-Formal. Dinner. Admis-

sion Tickets. Etc.

We will be breaking off into committees to further plan this event during the November DCM!

CLUB BOARD TASKS

Secretaries, do your reports. ‘Nuff said.

LTG ELECTIONS

Elections will be held, tentatively, on November 4th. Nominations Window is open now. Nominate your friends

or yourself. Current Nominees Include:

2013-2014 LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ELECTIONS

WHO: 2 VOTING DELEGATES FROM EACH SCHOOL, LTG CANDIDATES, ADVISOR (DICK

WHAT: 2013-2014 LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ELECTION

WHERE: CEDAR MILL LIBRARY MEETING ROOM

WHEN: DECEMBER 16, 2012 2:00PM - 3:30PM

WHY: LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR INFORMATION, CANDIDATE SPEECHES, VOTING, ETC.

THIS IS A FORMAL EVENT AND WILL REQUIRE ALL VOTING DELEGATES AND CANDIDATES TO BE

DRESSED IN BUSINESS ATTIRE.

RULES: Every club gets 2 voting delegates. 2/3 majority of division must attend election in or-

der for voting to be valid. Prospective LTGs are NOT allowed to announce their candidacy

to any one other than the current LTG.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: All candidates must be paid members. They must also be able

to attend all 5 district board meetings, DCON 2013, and DCON 2014.

If you are planning on running for LTG, here’s your first task...

The official Lieutenant Governor Election packet will be released the weekend of Thanksgiv-

ing, however, we need to do some house-keeping first. I will be putting together a little

booklet for Election Day with all of the information regarding the 2013-2014 term along with

all of the delegates. On the following page is an example which you should use to mirror.

Please use this to best represent yourself in the upcoming election and enclose a picture of

your face. &&& Good luck!
