Due to some unfortunate incidents, the Board has de-cided to install security cameras to monitor activity at the shelter. Thanks to Ben Culbertson, Dan Daniels, and Frank Porter for the installation.

Kids Can Do!
Under the direction of Ona Chapman, Iola Middle School students have been selling lollipops and other concession treats and collecting donations for ACARF. Their goal was to collect mon-ies to provide free adoptions for dogs and cats. December $1,100 February 800 March 400 April 860 Total $3,200 And, they donated $1,320 to the general fund in September and October—a total of $4,520 for the 2011-12 school year.
These are a few of our Stars—pets who someone cared enough about to pay the adoption fee. Come meet all of them—one is sure to become your bff!

Robyn Porter has been working on the website and has added a news-letter subscription op-tion—once submitted, it goes directly to the Edi-tor for addition to the mailing list. With the vid-eos she’s added, the website looks very pro-fessional. Thanks, Robyn!

Change in Saturday Second Chance Hours
Now that the weather is warming, we’re finding that many are out shop-ping earlier in the morn-ing and not so much in the afternoon. Effective Saturday, May 26 (the Sat-urday before Memorial Day), we’re changing our hours to 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. If ever you need anything outside our normal busi-ness hours, please call
Glenda—365-8155 Or
Hazel—365-7210
We can be downright ac-commodating given the appropriate financial in-centive. The Committee presented the Board with a check for $1,750 at their meeting on May 9. Thanks to our donors and customers, since November 15, 2011, the concession trailer has given the shelter $6,200 and Second Chance has given $13,050 for a total of $19,250.
This is being sent to you as a sup-porter of Allen County Rescue Fa-cility—either as a donor, a volun-teer, a member, or an animal lover.. Please contact the editor at
dar or to the mailing list. You have comments, sugges-
tions, complaints!

Midnight
Midnight is a cat of many moods: she can be silly and fun, or she can be cozy and cuddly. No matter what her mood, she is always beautiful! Midnight is such a great cat that the Iola Middle School students have paid all her adoption fees! Mar-velous Midnight can be yours without cost. Come make her acquaintance soon; this pretty lady with the ar-resting yellow eyes is going to find her Forever Home very quickly.
