I will be working full-time as an EMT while pursuing me ASL interpreter’s license. Then I will be headed off to

Physician’s Assistant School. It is my dream to care for Deaf and Hard of Hearing patients entirely in ASL, no

interpreter needed.

AFTER GRADUATION...

I will be moving back home to Atlanta as I pursue a position in a

research lab in Ireland.

ALYSSA C FLINT AFTER GRADUATION...

After graduation I am going to be working as a research assistant at IU School of Medicine and Riley Hospital

for Children studying Neurofibromatosis Type 1. I will do this for 1-2 years before applying to Medical Scientist Training Programs (MD/PhD)

so that I can pursue my goal of becoming a pediatric oncology

physician scientist.

I will be completing a Medical & Scientifics Affairs internship in

Tucson, AZ and will be getting a technician certification or EMT

certification to work in a clinical/medical setting.

Additionally, I will be applying to medical school.

I will be headed to New Haven, CT to start my master's degree in Public Health focusing on Health Policy at

Yale University! I am excited to continue my education and apply all that I learned in biology to a Public

Health setting.

2022 I will return to Purdue to expand my Boilermaker skills by pursuing a PhD in Microbiology and ultimately

where I will focus on human genetic diseases.

Botanical Garden in Michigan. During the school year I’ll be a member of the Amate House in

Chicago where I will be a teacher in a STEM room for K-8!
