I had to use the different cropping tools to ensure that my image was cropped out properly. The ‘lasso tool’ was efficient for this as it enabled a clear cut-out when cropping the hair, clothing etc.

I inserted across the image from Photoshop to In-Design.I added the masthead and firstly decided to place my image BEHIND the masthead.

During the process of my research I found examples of “NME” and “Hip-Hop Connection” magazines placing their main image BEHIND and INFRONT of the masthead.

Here I was changing the fonts around. Moving about the text but sticking to my plan.

All i needed to add was a main image and bottom strip.

I struggled when adjustising my image to fit the front cover and making it look effective. Fortunately my flan plan kept me working straight towards the finished piece. I was nearly completed here. Just needed to add my bottom strip.

I cropped out random triangles in the back ground and cut them out, this made the background image look effective and interesting. What is more, i used some effect tools to carbonize the image slightly, this made it more appearing and related tot the genre more.

For my Contents page image, i firstly cropped around the image i was going to use. However u did not like it so therefore i resulted to start from scratch .

I added a title and just began to create my final contents cover.

Moreover I made contents page cover lines, an insight into what the magazine consists of. I used the same original text all the way through the text and colour have a rebellious attitude to it.

My finished contents page.

My image for the double paged article was tricky to crop around on Photoshop however I successfully cropped and then used the feather tool to soften the edges.

My well edited image on Photoshop now ready to move across to In-Design to be placed on the double paged article.

I inserted all my text for the double paged article from Microsoft Word. Ensuring I had no spelling mistakes and all punctuation was correct. I changed the colour referring back to my 3/4 chosen predominant colours, made subheadings, created short snippets from the text large on the page to attract readers.

I added in all the images of the made-up album covers not to forget the little sideheading which is a supposedly good quote from the “Times”. I organised everything to its correct place to make it look effective as possible.

The finished piece, i just added the last part of text and placed in my “Punk Trap” radio advertisement. I checked over all the text, the headings etc and clicked onto a print preview document on In-Design to see my final work. Purposely I made the image appear up from the corner into the middle, personally i thought this would look very effective and am happy with the result.
