Service in the New Year

A.G. West Black Hills-Capital-North Thurston-Olympia-River Ridge-Shelton-Timberline-Tumwater

Hello Division 38!

I hope everyone’s new year is off to a good start! It’s hard to believe that a new year has already begun! The start of 2013 marks quite a few important events. For some, it marks their last year in high school and for others it is a fresh start. Before you leave 2012 behind you, take a moment and think back to all the good and bad times and see exactly how you have grown this past year. I know that through our service in Key Club, each of us have grown so much and helped numerous amounts of people in our community and around the world. Now lets start off this new year with a renewed sense of dedication toward Key Club and service!

District Convention is approaching fast so start promoting it within your clubs! You can find more information about it on page 3 of this newsletter. Also, with convention coming up you should all start electing your club officers so that they can receive their training at DCON! I would love to attend a few of your elections, so please let me know when they are!

Finally, don’t forget about the Lieutenant Governor election rally! We need each club represented to help us elect next years Lieutenant Governor. Happy New Year and good luck on your upcoming finals! And remember, if you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

In Caring Service,

Linsie Michaels

Greetings!

This month’s Star Award goes to… Tumwater High School

This month, Tumwater High School won the award not just for their service, but for their communication as well! Many clubs have been struggling with the new dues system and this club in particular has had their own fair share of troubles! However, Tumwater has continually kept me updated on their situation with their dues. They have informed me of any problems they are facing and have asked for advice on how to solve their issues. It hasn’t just been once that

they came to me for help but multiple times! This club is a great example of effective communication and how questions can take you a long ways! Anyways, keep up the great work and continue to share any difficulties you are having, even if they seem small and insignificant! Good job, and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for this year!

January Riddle: What goes around a house and in the house, but never touches the house?

Email/text me your answer!
