DEFINITION:A  DC MOTOR  in simple words is a device that converts direct current(electrical energy) into mechanical energy.ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:

• FARADAY’S LAW OF ELECTRO MAGNETIC INDUCTION: whenever a conductor is moved within a magnetic field in such away that the conductor cuts across magnetic lines of flux, voltage is generated in the conductor

•  To determine the direction of force acting on the armature conductors of dc motor Fleming’s left hand rule

OPERATION:-when a conductor rotates in a magnetic field, it cuts flux.Then produces force.

APPLICATIONS:- In hazardous nuclear areas. In electric hoists ,reels , winches. In industrial applications. In remote control. In power switching applications. In HVAC mobile applications. In hydraulic applications Chemical injection applications.
