TTHEHE WSFSSH MWSFSSH MISSIONISSION

The mission of WSFSSH is to providesafe, affordable housing with supportiveservices within a residential settingwhich enhances the independence anddignity of each person.

Since 1976, WSFSSH has been developing aspectrum of low income housing units. TodayWSFSSH is responsible for over 1,240 units,serving over 1,500 persons, with over 150 unitsin development. WSFSSH was formed in 1976by a coalition of social service agencies, reli-gious institutions, and community organizationsto create new housing to meet the diverseneeds of older people and persons living withhandicaps. In 1983 WSFSSH expanded itsmission to include the provision of housing andsupportive services to homeless adults.WSFSSH purchases, builds, renovates, andmanages housing. Areas of particular concerninclude: Frail elderly individuals Homeless individuals Single older persons Persons living with physically handicap-

ping conditions Older persons living with serious mental

illness Persons living with AIDS

Each of our buildings provides social servicesdesigned to assist residents /tenants to livesafely and fully in the community.
