Wow! 40 years in business is a great accomplish-
ment whether you are a small company or a
multi-billion dollar corporation. Cloud 9 Ranch
is getting close to that 40 year mark. Plans are
being made now as to how we will be celebrating
our first 40 years. Cloud 9 Ranch members who
wish to share memorabilia, photos, stories and
history are encouraged to do so. The 9 Lines is
published 52 weeks a year. Our goal for the 9
Lines is to have fifty-two stories about Cloud 9
Ranch history and events, included in the 2012,
9 Lines publications. Your help will be needed
to accomplish this goal. At the end of 2012 the
stories that make the 9 Lines and possible some
that don’t make the 9 Lines will be compiled
into a special edition book. Please include with
your story some information about yourself.
Your name, and how long you have been a
member of Cloud 9 will be included with your
short story in the special edition book. Submit

Select Timber Logging In Progress at Cloud 9 Ranch
Cloud 9 Ranch Club, Inc Find Us on Facebook!
The walnut logging operation has been in full swing all week on the Ranch. Cut-ting has been done with chain saw by one logger and the results of that work will be a great help to our Ranch forestation and finances. Select cutting is being done and Director Kadye Ward made a promise to the membership upon approval of the walnut logging that she would keep an eye on the process. She has been with the logging operation every day and is taking lots of pictures. Kadye reports that the logs are being left at tree lengths and buyers will be in to make bids as soon as the cutting is finished. Because of past horror stories on logging, a director, an em-ployee and a member are with the loggers most every hour of the day. The picture below is of Frank Shores, Larry Armstrong and Harry Bonham at a logging site. All three men have given their stamp of approval on the work being done. There has been minimal evidence that the logging process is taking place and no damage to trails or roads. Pictures are taken before and after an area is cut. No tree lengths will be cut into log lengths and leave the Ranch until the Ranch receives a check from the buyer with the highest bid. This phase of the logging will be com-pleted this week and a full report to the members will be in the 9 Lines next week. Stay tuned!!!
