• China dominates the global market with share of around 40%
• India is the 4th largest producer after China, Europe and Japan
• Stainless Steel Mill Products Production in the country for 2012-
13 was approximately 3 million tons*
• Flat products account for almost 71% of the total production and balance is accounted by Long Products
• In Long products consumption 300 series dominates the market
with around 58% share

last 7 years*
• Major performers in SS Long products consumption in India
have been Bright Bars, Seamless Tubes and SS Wires
