Welcome to the SFA Commencement Ceremony!
We would like to o�er some important travel and parking tips as you plan to attend the SFA commencement ceremonies. Tra�c on the east side of campus will be extremely congested on commencement day. Please heed the directional signs that will be posted to aid tra�c �ow to William R. Johnson Coliseum. Parking for graduation will require patience and a little planning prior to arrival.
ParkingThe University o�ers complimentary parking for graduates and guests on commencement day. All University parking areas are open and available with the following parking restrictions as noted below.
Graduates and guests should plan approximately 20 minutes into their travel schedules to allow for parking their cars and walking to the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
Disabled Parking: SFA has dedicated a section of parking lot 47, at the corner of North University Drive and East College Street, for disabled parking on a �rst come, �rst served basis. A state-issued accessible parking sticker or hangtag is necessary to park in these lots.
Drivers can drop o� a guest who has di�culty walking at the front of the Coliseum in the designated drop-o� area. Golf cart service will also be available to facilitate transportation for attendees who may require special assistance in reaching the Coliseum from parking lot 47. Once these parking spaces have been �lled, vehicles will only be permitted to drop o� guests, and will be directed to park elsewhere on campus.
Before leaving the Coliseum, please be sure that you have all personal belongings. Any items left behind will be taken to the University Police. You may also call 936-468-2608 regarding lost property.
