ProspectivemembersTheSIGisforpractitioners,managers,researchers,students,andpolicymakersengagedinplanning,designing,deliveringorevaluatingpalliativeandendoflifecareindifferenthealthandcaresystems.

ActivitiesTheSIGwillprovideaplatformformemberstoshareimplementationexperience,highlightexamples of good practice, signpost practical resources, and agree and collaborate onresearch, education andevaluationpriorities for integratedpalliative care. Topicsfor2017/2018TheinitialfocusoftheSIGwillbeanintegratedandpublichealthapproachtopalliativeandendoflifecaretoimprovethehealthandwellbeingofpeoplefacingpotentiallylife-limitingillness,loneliness,dying,deathandbereavement.InnovativeexamplesareTodosContigo,ledbytheNewhealthFoundationinSeville,andCompassionateInverclyde,acollaborativeprogramme in Scotland; both building socialmovements around people-led, assets-basedapproachestocompassionatecitizenshipandintegratedpalliativeandendoflifecare.Our second topicwill be to shareexperiencesandevidenceof integrated care that reallyworksforpeopleinAnticipatoryCarePlanning(ACP)supportingchoicesandpreferencestoberealisedandcentraltodecisionmakingatbothpracticeandorganisationalsystemslevel.OurthirdtopicwillbetoshareexperienceonthedevelopmentanduseofpersoncentredoutcomemeasuresinPalliativeandEndofLifeCare.ModeratorsMarie will support practitioners, managers and researchers who are implementing orevaluatingdifferentmodelsofpalliativeandendoflifecare.Volunteermoderators,drawnfromthemembershipoftheSIG,willchangeatintervalstoenrichtheknowledgebaseandextendthereachofourglobalcommunityofpractice.
