The NoiseGard active noise compensationsystem was originally developed for pilots, who work in noisysurroundings and yet depend on high sound quality for clearcommunication. NoiseGard actively cancels out noise throughphase-inverted anti-noise. It works like this: tiny microphonespick up the low frequencies of ambient noise near the ear. TheNoiseGard technology then reverses the ambient noise signalby 180 and creates a corresponding anti-noise wave thatalmost totally cancels out the original noise. As a result, ambientnoise is significantly reduced.
