TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SEPTEMBER 22, 2019
A Note from
Father Tom
I enjoyed much the privilege
of being present for the
“Dynamic Catholic” presenta-
tion that was offered at Sacred Heart of Jesus
Parish in Hopedale. There are elements of this
approach to faith and ministry development and
evangelization from which we might benefit
greatly in time to come.
One of the components that was offered
is a very succinct tool with which to approach
“The Prayer Process.” It is my hope to use each
of these individual thoughts for reflection in the
weeks to come.
GRATITUDE
AWARENESS
SIGNIFICANT MOMENTS
PEACE
FREEDOM
OTHERS
THE OUR FATHER
As simple and desirable as it can sound,
genuine gratitude isn’t really easy. We tend to
let gratitude jump out of the shadows at us now
and then. Faith tells us that there is cause for
gratitude in every day 2 but we need to seek it
out if we must. And that which causes gratitude
can be layered with an expectation that it will be
“super sized,” or worthy of a walk down the “red
carpet.” Don’t get me wrong. Those moments
of welcoming and embracing something or
someone truly wonderful in life will come. They
will raise up in us much of what it means to be
truly grateful, and great memories that will lift us
up in time to come,
But, those exceptional moments are just
that 2 exceptional. It is the smaller moment we
work at identifying each day that really creates a
posture of gratitude that will carry and even lift
us each day. There we meet Christ.
Fr. Tom

be held on Saturday, October 28th.
We are dedicated to educating young men in the
important areas of moral & spiritual education, above
& beyond their academic & social development.
Though faith education may not appear to be “in
vogue”, we find that our students today still possess
the timeless desire to seek meaning in their lives, and
they continue to ask the “big” questions.
