Rosewell; Funded by the estateof Robert (King) Carter and builtfor Mann Page, this estate was one of the most dynamic housesbuilt in Colonial Virginia as well aswithin all of the colonies at the time.

Both Mann Page and ThomasJefferson were close friendsand Thomas Jefferson spent a great deal of time at this estatediscussing politics with his closefriend. Gloucester rumor hasit that the Declaration of Independence had it's firstrough draft created here.

Though today the house is in ruins, The legacies of thosewho entered it's doors continueto live on throughout Virginia and the United States.
