Pumpkin Man, Pumpkin Man
catch a goblin if you can.
Yes, I will, yes I
will If a goblin’s standing still.
Lets tap the
monsters
Pumpkin Man,
Pumpkin Man
catch a goblin
if you can.
Yes I will,
Yes I will,
if a goblin’s
Standing still.
What did the orange
monsters represent?
The Steady Beat!
Now, let’s tap the rhythm
(the way the words go).
Pumpkin Man,
Pumpkin Man
catch a goblin ???
if you can.
Yes I will,
Yes I will,
if a goblin’s ???
Standing still.
Our “mystery beat” is called
“tim-ka” and it looks
like this!
Now lets chant it
with notation!
Pumpkin Man,
Pumpkin Man
catch a goblin
if you can.
Yes I will,
Yes I will,
if a goblin’s
Standing still.
Lets Add the Game!
1. Sit down in a circle. 2. Player 1 is the pumpkin man, and
player 2 is the goblin. 3. The Pumpkin Man sits in the center
and everyone but the goblin closes their eyes, while the goblin hides the object in the pumpkin patch (with someone in the circle).
4. At the end of the song, no one can talk, and opens their eyes.
5. The pumpkin man gets three guesses as to who has the object.
6. If they guess right, they trade places, if not, the person with the object becomes the next goblin, and the pumpkin man remains.
