Dear WCCs, WHIL-CCs and WURHA Directorship,
I am very enthused to submit this bid or 2009-2010 WURHA President. Through my experiencesat University o Wisconsin-Stout and as a WHIL/NRHH-CC, I have developed knowledge and apassion or the organization that I would like to share in hopes that WURHA becomes more successuland benecial to the member schools.
My rst WURHA conerence was Leadership is Sweet hosted by University o Wisconsin-Stout.It was at this conerence that the housing fame was lit inside o me. I presented on UW-Stouts Phi-lanthropy activity team or the conerence, and learned more about the Question and Answer sectionand how vital it is to every element o WURHA; because it is in the Q and A section that the people
answering the questions can get a ull eeling on what passion, excitement and knowledge the presentertruly has on their presentation. It was at this conerence that I was told that I had what it would taketo be on the IRHA executive board. I took this direct statement to heart knowing that someone whobarely knew me had enough aith in me to encourage me to urther my leadership abilities.
I chose Cooking up WURHAs Success From the kitchen o: Ashley Sailer or my bid theme ora ew reasons. First o all without WURHA I wouldnt have a vast list o leadership experiences or theknowledge I have gained rom all o the opportunities that is has provided or me; it has cooked up mysuccess. Second, I believe that like every good recipe it has to have the cooks own variation. Howeverit is with all o these variations that a truly spectacular item is created. I eel that this holds true orWURHA. WURHA is only at the point o growth or the organization because it has many cooks who
all bring their own variation. Third, rom my variety o dierent roles within leadership I have the nec-essary skills to become the head che o WURHA. The only way any kitchen can operate is with a headche who is willing and ready to listen to all o the sui-ches as well as delegate and coordinate so thatthings may run smoothly and the common goal can be perectly executed and reached.
I am very excited to have the opportunity to run or president o WURHA. Making a dierencein the lives o others and showing my true passion or WURHA are two things that I look orward todoing next year. I cant think o any better way to graduate rom college than nishing it o with beingyour WURHA President. Thank you very much or taking the time to consider my bid.
Thank you or your consideration,
Ashley Sailer

Personal goals
Represent WURHA to the best o my abilities
To assist in the creation o utilizing networking skills amongst CCs
To visit at least 2 schools RHA or WHIL meetings (or equivalent) to see how the meetings are runand what dierences there are across the state. I would write a ollow up report about my visit, sothat this can be used as a tool or other schools whom may be struggling, starting or trying somenew techniques with their meetings.
Utilize personal knowledge o constitution and by-laws to better assist member schools, and schoolsconsidering aliation, in bidding, and writing legislation.
Become amiliar with large scale organization budgeting through working with the WURHA advi-
sor on the budget.

Combining Ingredients
Goals for WURHAOpen communication between all WCCs, WHIL CCs, Directorship members, advisors and leaders in
other organizations i.e. GLACURH and Other Sub-regional Organizations. This would be accomplished
by contacting other Sub-regional presidents; to see what their organizations is doing i.e. Annual coner-ence, Philanthropy and Working with their WHIL/NRHH equivalent. Also by giving a brie rap up o
conerences and business meetings to the GLACURH Director. Finally by getting to know the RCC or
Wisconsin, so that the Strength o WURHA is a collective eort, and the communication o WURHA
members is increased between conerences and business meetings.
Planning BLT to utilize returning CCs to aid in the development o new CCs as well as, have sessions
on bidding, legislation and delegate spirit and a specic Question and Answer sessions. I eel that this is
a conerence that s name (Brining Leaders Together) is what this business meetings true purpose is. The
Question and Answer session would allow dierent CCs to meet one another and ask questions, o theirspecic interest and schools needs.
Creating organizational goals and expectations o members o WURHA (Advisors, CCs, WHIL-CCs,
and Directorship) and how these goals will be upheld. This would be done at BLT.
Uphold the constitution and welcome change.
Create a stronger link between WHIL and WURHA, by working with the WHIL Chair to insure that all
necessary business is able to be covered at the meetings.
Utilize the WURHA e-mails and orum, to see what schools are doing each month and to acilitate
urther discussion. Better utilize the Forum, by having an outline or everyone to ollow so the readability
o others monthly is better utilized, as well as creating a monthly question so that other schools can learn
more about member schools i.e. What is your executive board structure?, How do recruit representatives
or RHA?, How do you keep people interested and coming to meetings?
Work with Conerence stas (both Annual and Semi-Annual) eectively rom the start and ater the con-
erence or Business meeting have ended, especially with the Budget as well assisting the stas to ensure
that delegates, WCCs, WHILCCs, advisors and directorship members needs are meet to make or the
most positive boardroom experience. Also by being another link between CCs and Conerence stas.
Work with the advisor in creating the budget or the scal year. Additionally, help work to determine the
status o WURHAs position o Prot vs. Non Prot, and Tax exempt.
Work with the conerence sta, to have a philanthropy project in the hospitality rooms, so that coner-
ence attendees have the opportunity to recognize others i.e. cards or troops, cards or sick children, door
decorations or the elderly.
