India is the world's largest sourcing destination for
the information technology (IT)industry, accounting
for approximately 67 per cent of the market. More
importantly, during FY08-15 number of graduates
addition to talent pool in India grew at a CAGR of
9.4 per cent . India's cost competitiveness in
providing IT services, which is approximately 3-4
times cheaper than the US, continues to be the
mainstay of its Unique Selling Proposition (USP) in
the global sourcing market. The Indian IT sector is
expected to grow at a rate of 12-14 per cent for
FY2016-17 in constant currency terms. And talking
about the Telecommunication sector ,.India is
c u r r e n t l y t h e w o r l d ' s s e c o n d - l a r g e s t
telecommunications market and has registered
strong growth in the past decade and half. The
Indian mobile economy is growing rapidly and is
expected to contribute substantially to India's Gross
D o m e s t i c P r o d u c t ( G D P ) . T h e I n d i a n
telecommunication services market will likely grow
by 10.3 per cent year-on-year by 2020.With such a
boom in the IT and Telecom sector the unique
combination of subjects from both the areas widens
the knowledge and skills of the students. The
industry gets an exquisitely finished trained product
to guide its business and make it more affluent. The
compound of 70% managerial subjects and 30%
specialized sectoral subjects along with exposure to
industry through case studies and projects polishes
the diamonds in rough.The programme is designed
as an innovative and a practical approach to
management education. It encourages the students
to be at par with the changing trends of the sector
thereby showcasing there finesse and knowledge
on both technology and business front. Overall, this
