The welfare of Tennesseans with intellectual disabilities is

paramount to DIDD and its providers. DIDD fosters respect

for the persons it supports, and ensures their safety and pro-

tection.

The DIDD Protection from Harm Investigative Unit in the West

Region conducts internal administrative reviews into allega-

tions of abuse, neglect, exploitation, serious injuries of un-

known cause, suspicious injury and unexpected or unex-

plained deaths.

DIDD and its providers work to achieve healthy, secure and

meaningful lives for Tennesseans with intellectual disabilities.

Nothing less is expected, nothing less is accepted.
