The welfare of Tennesseans with intellectual disabilities is paramount to DIDD and its providers. DIDD fosters respect for the persons it supports, and ensures their safety and pro- tection. The DIDD Protection from Harm Investigative Unit in the West Region conducts internal administrative reviews into allega- tions of abuse, neglect, exploitation, serious injuries of un- known cause, suspicious injury and unexpected or unex- plained deaths. DIDD and its providers work to achieve healthy, secure and meaningful lives for Tennesseans with intellectual disabilities. Nothing less is expected, nothing less is accepted. If you suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation of a person with intellectual disabilities, contact the De- partment of Intellectual and Developmental Disabil- ities Investigative Unit.
