Hagrid’s Treacle Fudge

Following their trip to the Harry Potter Studios, Year 4 have enjoyed making their own Harry Potter inspired recipes.

Ingredients115g plain chocolate60g unsalted butter2 tablespoons of milk1 tablespoon of treacleI teaspoon of vanilla extract450g of icing sugar

Method

1. Melt the chocolate and butter with the treacle over a pan of simmering water.

2. Add the milk, vanilla extract and icing sugar slowly and mix as you add the ingredients. Eventually you will need to mix the mixture with your hands as it becomes very stiff.

3. Spread the mixture into a lightly buttered Swiss roll tin and allow to cool.

4. Once cool, cut into cubes or cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Chill overnight before eating.
