The Cut Films Short Film Competition Could Save Your Best Friend’s Life

The Brief:Make an under two minute short film or advert that would persuade young people not to smoke.

In this lesson:Think of ONE idea about what your film could be about it. Discuss in your group, nominate a spokesperson and present it back to everyone else.

The Ultimate Test of a Good Film / AdvertAsk yourself:

“If I saw a film like mine on my social media newsfeed, would I share it with my friends?”

If you wouldn’t, go back to the drawing board!

Top Tips:Have a clear and simple message

The film should contain true facts

Think about the look and feel of the film

Think about words, music and images – what would be most effective to your friends
