Owners:
First Glance Holsteins saw its beginnings six short years ago when we discovered each other and thecommon enthusiasm and goals we each shared for the Registered Holstein breed. What began asworking together at shows quickly changed to acquiring and developing cows together. As we madethe commitment to each other and our dream of building a herd of quality registered Holsteins, wepurchased our farm and have slowly made it what it is today. When purchasing our first animals,we focused on finding an animal that had the potential to develop into something special. As wewere able, we began to concentrate on building depth of pedigree as well. We’re proud to say thatwe have developed nearly 30 Excellent cows, with 4 of them reaching 94 points. By focusing on cowcomfort, our cows have worked hard for us. We’ve achieved a 30,000 lb. herd average, but have con-ceded to less as we’ve “tightened our belts” with the economic strain we’ve all experienced this pastyear. Deciding to have a sale was a tough one to make, but we agree that we need to reduce ourworkload and the everyday stress and strain that comes with it. Who knows, we might even learnwhat a vacation is this summer!
We’ve worked very hard to make this herd what they have become, and we’re confident that theseanimals can perform and develop even more for you.
Our deepest thanks and gratitude,
Tom and Amy
