S’mores
RECIPEIngredients• 250g self-raising flour
• ½ tsp salt
• 25g butter, chilled and cubed
• 175ml milk
Method1. Mix the flour with the salt in a large bowl. Add
the butter and rub it into the flour with the tips of your fingers, until it resembles fine crumbs.
2. Stir in the milk with a round blade knife (butter knife) to make a soft, but not sticky dough. Turn out onto a lightly floured work surface and shape into a soft, smooth ball..
3. Oven cooking: Set the ball of dough onto a tray or baking sheet and flatten gently to make a round approx. 17cm across. Cut a deep cross in the dough and brush lightly with milk. Bake at 190C for 30 minutes until golden
4. Open fire cooking: wrap the dough around sticks collected on your bush walk and cook over the fire until golden
5. Serve warm or at room temperature, with golden syrup if you like!
Ingredients• Marie, Arnotts Shredded, Mcvitie or other
digestive type biscuit
• Milk chocolate melts
• Marshmallows
Around the campfire Method1. Get a biscuit and put a piece of chocolate on it.
2. Cook a marshmallow over the campfire using a stick or whatever preferred method is.
3. Place the browned marshmallow on the biscuit that has the chocolate on it
4. Create a sandwich by putting another biscuit on the marshmallow, let the marshmallow spread a bit eg.ooze
5. Wait 30 seconds for the warm marshmallow to melt the chocolate
6. Eat and enjoy! (checking the temperature before you do)
Around the microwave method1. Get a biscuit and put a piece of chocolate on it,
put one marshmallow on the chocolate and a biscuit on top of the marshmallow.
2. Microwave on a high setting for 20 seconds.
3. Eat and Enjoy ! (checking the temperature before you do)
Father’s Day
Ingredients• 100g plain flour
• 300ml milk
• 2 large eggs
Method1. In a bowl, beat the eggs. Add the flour and milk a
little at a time and continue to mix until batter is smooth and lump-free.
2. In a hot pan or flat grill over medium heat, brush butter over cooking surface. Pour in batter mix so it thinly cover the pan surface
3. When large bubbles form on the surface, flip the pancake over and cook until lightly golden on the other side
4. Serve with maple syrup, lemon and sugar, Nutella or filling of choice!
Ingredients• Sliced White Bread with crusts trimmed
• Butter/margarine softened
• Multicoloured candy sprinkles/hundreds and thousands
Method1. Spread margarine onto slices of bread.
Cover with sprinkles. Cut into triangles to serve.

Vegetable SkewersIngredients• Wooden or metal skewers.
• Capsicums (assorted Red, yellow, and/or green) – halved, deseeded and cut into 2cm squares
• Zucchini – sliced into 1cm width pieces
• Red onion – cut into chunks
• Cherry tomato’s
• Optional to include: Halloumi, pineapple, mushrooms
Method1. If using wooden skewers soak in water for 10-
20mins
2. Prepare the fire or Pre-heat the grill for medium heat
3. Alternately thread the vegetables onto the skewers
4. Brush the vegetables with olive oil, season with salt and pepper
5. Cook skewers over fire, or on grill, until the vegetables are tender, brush with extra oil as needed
