Dearall,ithasbegun.Afterayearandahalfofpreparations,Glenn,René,Magnustogetherwithlocalemployees

begantheconstructionofthearea/schoolinearlyOctober.Thefocusfromthestartistobuildhammockhousesforthe20volunteerswhowillarrivearoundNov.1.Wehavehired30localworkers,andtheybringanyprejudiceabout

lazinessamongAfricanmentoshame.Theyreallyworkhard,anditisagreatpleasuretoworkwiththem.Thepicturesbelowweretakeninrecentweeks.

Recentlywehavealsohadour"InvestmentAct"finallyapprovedbytheZambiangovernment.Thisisessentialtoget

anextendedleaseofthelandfrom14yearsto99years.Furthermore,itisimportantinrelationtopermitsandpotentialexemptionfromimportduty.Mostimportantly,thisapprovalisageneralendorsementoftheentireproject

bytheZambiangovernment.WiththisInvestmentAct,wehavecommittedourselvestoinvest500.000USDduringthenextfiveyearsinthecountry.

Support

SupportforProjectZambiaisstillincrediblyhigh.TheassociationEventurehasrecentlyreached400members,andhastodatecollected250.000DKK.Eventurehasalreadysent200.000DKKtoZambiaformaterialprocurement.

RecentlyBankInvestsupportedtheprojectwith50,000DKK.TheFundraiseGroup(Louise,Lars,Vanessa,Henry,Jacob,Rebecca,Nete,Line)areworkingtowards,thatnexttimewewritetoyou,therewillbemanymoregoodnewsonthat

front.TheassociationhasnowbeenapprovedbytheDanishTaxOfficeundertheAssessmentAct§8A,whichmeansthatcontributionsofbetween500DKKand15.500DKKaretaxdeductible.Theassociationwillsubmittherelevant

informationtothetaxauthorities.Westilllack700.000DKKtoreachourgoal,soifyouknowanyone(companyorprivateindividual)whowouldliketosupportthegoodcause,[email protected].

TheEventureDay

The30thofAugustweheldEventureDay,andwehadatotallyterrificdaywithlotsoflaughsandgoodenergy.Thepicturesaboveandbelowweretakenduringtheday.Inparticular,DullaandSaidwereahighlightoftheday,creating

beautifulrhythmsandteachingusallAfricandancesteps.Themanintheredshirt,belowright,isKimFrandsen,whoin2011willbike12,000kmfromCairotoCapeTowninthe“TourdeAfrica”.Kimwillusetheracetocollect

contributionsinathomefromDenmark.Contributions,withwhichhehaschosentosupportProjectZambia.

Doctorsreadytogo

HealthisavitalpartofProjectZambia.Wehavethereforecreatedagroupintheassociationconsistingoffourdoctors/medicalstudents(Mie,Julie,EbbeandErik).FromthisgroupErikandEbbearegoingtoZambiaonthe

27thofDecembertospendthreeweeksmappingthehealthconditionswithaprofessionalperspective.Thisisdonebothtoprovidebetterinformationabouthealth/diseaseissuesforthemanyvolunteerswhowillbe

arriving,andtogetabetterknowledgeaboutwhichcommunityprojectsProjectZambiacandointhelocalarea,whenwegetsofar.Above,middle,EbbeisgivinganintroductiontothehealthgroupattheEventureDay.

Weneedsomeonewhocanhelpusontheadministrativefront.Itisspecificallyhelpwithadministrativetasksin

ProjectZambiaandtheassociationEventure.Itmaybetoregisternewmembersoftheassociation,sendinformationofcontributionstotax,simplebookkeepingfortheassociation,updatingthewebsiteetc..Weestimatethatthetasks

willtakemax.fivehoursaweek.Astheassociation'smoneymaynotbeusedforanyadministrativetask,thehelpwillbasicallybeunpaid.Potentiallywecan,however,rewardayear’sworkwithatriptoZambia.Wethink,thejobmight
