Cyclone Kenneth hit Cabo Delgado Province displacing over 22,000 children and damaged at least 221 classrooms in about 70 schools as of 30th April, disrupting schooling. Preliminary information indicate that out of the 221 classrooms, 106 partially (48%) and 93 (42%) totally damaged. 98% of the precarious classrooms have lost their roofs and (29%) have walls collapsed or damaged. Only 1 classrooms convention-al materials has problmes with the wall. 497 teachers are among the a�ected popula-tion. The DEPEDH has requested for 12,376 zinc sheets, 22,100 student kits and 53 tarpaulin sheets
